my husband also got me dyson hair wrap on my birthday! BTW it only works on damp hair,that's the reason your curls won't hold.Also you should have got the new model so that you don't have to unplug to change the direction of the curler!

To curl hair using dyson airwrap,apply mousse to wet hair,start curling while hair is still damp and also spray each strand with water before curling for longer lasting curls.Afterwards you can also use hair spray. When I followed all these steps correctly my curls lasted for few hrs.It causes less damage but unfortunately curls don't last too long if hair is not damp while you curl them

There’s an easier way to use the air wrap. Hold it near the end 90 degree to your hair. I wish I could show you.
