Just to update you more over this. It is a poem written by an Indian scholar Amir Khusrow back in 13th Century and that is why you might have noticed hearing his name in this one few times. Coming to these two, they are legends for a reason and they prove it everytime they have a mic in front of them. And you, I am glad I came by your channel, loved your feelings towards the music. P.S - Pakistani music industry well knows how to preserve the original music through decades and present them the way they should be. I am an Indian.

Both Abida Parween and Ustaad Rahat Ali Khan are two legendary singers of Pakistan , when I say singers that means true singers . They are singing this song in an old urdu, a ghazal of Ameer khusru. The same urdu is the national language of Pakistan.
