My brother was the picture of health until he had a massive heart attack at 64. His wife was a nurse and did CPR until the medics arrived. They were able to donate his corneas and skin for burn victims. As heartbreaking as losing him was I still hope especially on bad days, there are people living their best lives because of his generosity.

@@bombbuilderusaf I was told in nursing school, 30yrs ago, NOT to show your emotions.. Keep a stiff upper lip.. be professional! BULL .. We are human .. we were given emotions for a reason! I'm not saying I bawl, scream, get pissed etc infront of my pts .. but I do let some tears roll infront of them or while I'm holding or hugging them... I also sing and dance and act silly at times just to cheer them up. I'm a nurse .. I'm still professional and I handle anything that comes my way, very well .. but being a nurse also means to empathize with the pt and family, too.. at least in my book. So, please tell your awesome daughter, for me, not to lose that part of her.. honestly no matter how long you've been a nurse, it doesn't go away.. Chad, I'm saluting best I know how. Just look at all the people there who think so much of you. Your job now is to let them know you're not suffering. 🇺🇸

I lost my son many years ago when I was 17 (cot death) I’ve always beaten myself up for not donating his organs, I was young, alone and scared. My heart goes out to these families, I think that they are amazing ❤️

Please stop beating yourself up!!! You were a child yourself. Your thoughts matter. Love to you🥰

Alas, cot death would have not made his organs viable for transplant. It's the life support that keeps the organs going after the brain ceases to function. So don't beat yourself up over that, please. So, so sad for your loss and I doubt many days go by that you're not thinking of him and the sort of person he could have become, or even the people he could have helped. My heart and prayers go out to you and all those who've lost a loved one. RIP is a real thing, they are Resting In Peace, asleep in death, awaiting the resurrection. You could take comfort in that.

@@lynnmahan154 I am very sorry for your loss. There is hope in the future. Become an organ donor yourself! Saves Lives.

May god bless this family. I lost 5 members of my family between 2013 and 2019..one brother to Covid he was high risk. The other to heart condition at birth. My niece to suicide my mom to pancreatic cancer..and dad to old age and loss of mom. My brother n law passed 2 yrs ago from Covid after liver transplant but he was recovering from surgery and his wife gave him Covid when she caught it. It took him out. I feel your pain and grief it's a horrible thing to go through. Death is final and difficult to accept. I believe in my heart I will see all of them again. Hugs to those in need of compassion and prayers
