Chad's curl break is amazing. I am a WR coach so I've broken down tape frame by frame and any WR (college or pro) would really help themselves if they learned Chad's technique. It is extremely efficient and the key is the inside step in the middle of the break. Outstanding work Chad - you have a lot of talent, but you have developed a system of route-running that could change the way people coach this position. The fact that you put this up so kids can learn from you is very impressive.

the video is both inspirational because it makes u wanna go outside and do even more drills, but is also depressing for us aspiring pro athletes 2 see how far u have 2 go... man i never seen a dude run a curl route that smooth ever!

@Lapramj7 some of the routes he's simulating a press defender, it's called "coming to square". Jerry Rice used to purposefully false step on many routes for timing or to cut off a certain foot. I teach/study Wide Receivers most of the year and Chad is one of the best when he works like this!

@kidvaletudo That is more of an out-route or comeback, but I had the advantage of breaking down the tape on Sports Science where he ran a 10-yard curl. They timed him in the 10-yd sprint, then timed him running the curl and the times were the same -- it took him literally a fraction of a second to get into and out of the route. In that clip he was running a full curl route comeing back to the LOS. How could a DB cover that unless he was guessing???
