Laharl boss music for DS2 just fills you with dread when he waltzes onto the field at level 1200 and kills your entire party in three or so turns, sumoning a meteor and riding it while laughing crazily as he crushes half of your party with damage over ten times their max health. Laharl in DS2 was insanely powerful, his level is 12 times higher than the final boss, and that's without the monster stat boosts he has added on, truly nightmarish.

Also Laharl is conflicted with Human Emotions trust me you see pretty subtle hint's of it in most of the game's that little "I'm a demon so i have to act all bad" Keep's him from using his true potential unless he's truly mad(if you play disgaea 1 and know the ending's it will prove much but see unlike sephiroth) Laharl uses this to prevent his emotions Sephiroth warp's it which in turn makes him more EVIL then laharl.Because of Sephi's backstory he's the most favorable between the 2.

A Disgaea 1 Alternate ending has the crew visit the human World. Canonically, they travel to Celestia. Laharl can destroy several hundred thousand battleships in a matter of minutes. Laharl auto-wins in speed if he equips the Hyperdrive (instant teleportation at will), his scarf can become wings in the anime, he can learn any magic his underlings learn, and he can reincarnate endlessly.
