I think a good follow up to this question would’ve been “do you own your own masters” traditionally with a distribution deal that is the case, but you also have to pay for your studio costs and things like that. A lot of people just be talking. People will say stuff like "Paul and Juicy never give their artist $......" The thing is when you sign to one of these big labels, they cut you a big check too. That's basically what some of these other rappers who have rappers under them have done. Paul and Juicy cut checks based on your role. If you were just an artist, you got an artist's paycheck. If you had a writing or producing credit, you got that paycheck. Others have spoken about how Paul or Juicy told them "Do X,X,X so you can credit a producer credit." They tried to help show guys how to handle more than just the music part
