Chad, your video is an answer to prayer. I have not subscribed to your channel (yet, I will after I finish this reply). But I've been plagued recently with the fear that I had committed the unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit. Last night I asked God for reassurance if I had NOT done so. And today your video came up as "something that might interest you". Thank God for answered prayers! Thank God for sending this answer through someone I respect and trust to be speaking the truth. I heard a preacher who runs a “deliverance “ ministry say that to question his work is sinning against the Holy Spirit. I do not question that miracles are from God and the Holy Spirit. I do question whether every person who claims to cast out demons and “heal” people of other “spirits”’of illness and disease. To me, healed is healed. When Jesus cast out a demon or healed people of illnesses, they were gone forever. This is not the case with this preacher. To me, we will know by the results that it is of the Holy Spirit. I would never want to attribute credit to satan for things the Holy Spirit has done, but I have a healthy doubt about some people.

The unpardonable sin, wouldn't it be unbelief and continuing in it? That is unbelief in our LORD Jesus Christ which includes who HE is and what HE has done and what HE is doing for wretched sinners as we are. May GOD'S peace be upon you all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our LORD. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a by product of unbelief, look at the Pharisees which this passage is about they didn't believe in the LORD Jesus Christ for healing the blind man and so they said that He did it by the power of the devil because they did not believe He was the incarnate Heavenly Father,all of this was because of their unbelief. Context is critical to understanding the Word of GOD. Thank you my brothers and sisters in the LORD Jesus, just seek HIM and all will be well with your soul.

I think it has a lot to do with continuing in unbelief, but I also think it is more of an Israel doctrine, not for the Body of Christ Church in this Dispensation of Grace. Before this Dispensation began with Paul, Ananias and his wife were killed by the Holy Spirit for lying to Him. They were not even given the chance to repent.

Mark.3:30 those who calls Jesus as an “unclean spirit”, most likely hate Jesus..and they might never repent if they are believing this? When we take the eschatology of Islam as an example, they are clearly portraying Jesus as the “anti- Christ” will they then never repent??…i would somehow still think that the grace of God far exceeds any size of sin?

How does one then discern between what is true and what is false? Matt 13:22 says that false christs and false prophets will arise, and will provide signs and wonders in order to mislead, if possible, the elect. It seems the understanding you give on blasphemy of the Holy Spirit would scare anyone away from trying to discern between what is false and true, because of the fear of possibly being wrong.

The unpardonable sin is unbelief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. God has provided for our salvation in His Son (John 3:16). Forgiveness is found exclusively in Jesus (John 14:6). To reject the only Savior is to be left with no means of salvation; to reject the only pardon is, obviously, unpardonable. The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, specific as it was to the Pharisees’ situation, cannot be duplicated today. Jesus Christ is not on earth, and no one can personally see Jesus perform a miracle and then attribute that power to Satan instead of the Spirit. The only unpardonable sin today is that of continued unbelief. There is no pardon for a person who dies in his rejection of Christ.
@garyp.90732 ай бұрын
Its a deep hearted defaming, blasphemy, against the Holy Spirit, God. When the Pharisees in Matt. 12 attributed Jesus's works to the Devil that was just a manifestation of their already commited Unforgivable Sin. Jesus said to the Pharisees in John 8:44, You are of your father the Devil and want to do the desires of your father. If Jesus said they were of their father the devil, that makes them children of the Devil and that is the Unforgivable Sin, making the Devil their god and sufficiency. See also Act 13:9-10, Elymas the sorcerer was also a child of the Devil. In the OT see references to "sons of Belial", another name for Satan. Cain was also a child of the Devil, Gen 4:8-15 and 1John 3:12. As were sons of Eli in 1Sam 2:12. Shalom

Bringing "clarity" to a world of superstition is not terribly helpful. According to the Bible, the only unforgivable sin is "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit". That sounds like a great means for keeping people in the religious fold, but is a perverted kind of "morality". A credible God would not demand belief or respect. It would inspire as to why such belief or respect are due. By this standard, a gay Christian would be more easily forgiven than Jew who rejects Jesus as the "son of God". Such a thought would probably make the heads of rabidly anti-gay Christian bigots explode, but fortunately they will be protected by layers of cognitive dissonance.
