We were at that show! It was such an amazing show! Chad is a class act, took time twice to take a pic with my son, and sign his CD. As father seeing your child meet his hero is such a cool moment! Thank you!!

Yes! Everyone playing so well... Outstanding level of swing which shows how coherent and focused the band was. Time to listening to Liya and Ben; and of course to LB. But it was Charles who took me by hand and reintroduced Mr PC. What and effing drummer he is! What tones he is able to extract from that kit! Usually drummers stick to this or that part of technique/musicianship. Charles has it all: great ability, ears and sound. What a pleasure and what a lesson!

hey chad, i was wondering what tip opening and reed size you used for your tenor? i’m currently on the nexus 3’s on my jody hr dark 7* and i’m hopefully getting a edge soon. i wanted to know what works best for you.
@МихаилАшихмин Жыл бұрын
Look at that gigachad (LB) suddenly and insistently passing solo to that poor pianess! P. S. It's just a joke, I respect her very much and admire her playing skills!
@judah492 жыл бұрын
Very work, drummer was driving for sure! I had trouble listening to certain parts of the piece. Difficult hearing the pianist, who was laying down some very cool motifs. CB, hit as ever; JC is applauding, but at times it seemed the tenor sound obscured the piano and bass. It was hot!

Chad, the head was a little wonky compared to the way I’m used to hearing it, but a great job otherwise. The return at the end sounded much better. Maybe you started cold? Not sure where this tune was in the performance or set, or where your head was at at the time, lol, but kudos to you and your band on a job well done.
@WorkinSteamin2 жыл бұрын
It's fine to rework heads, Dexter was great at that, taking Parker heads and twisting the melody. It's jazz. Nothing should be sacrosanct. Steamin'
@shipsahoy17932 жыл бұрын
@@WorkinSteamin that’s fair; for me it was basically a stylistic issue..
