Thank you Chad. I was thinking that those would make beautiful hoop earrings.

I really like these rings! Especially the flattened one with 6 together. Guess my housework is going to have to wait a little longer! Thanks so much, Chad!

Great tutorial and great inspiration. Looks like a great way to use smaller pieces of leftover wires. Thanks again 🤩

Thanks Karry! I’ve always got random pieces of leftover twisted wire. That would be a good use for them:)

Hi Chad, these rings are fun! I've done them with gold-filled wire and sterling (I otherwise am not an advocate of gold-filled) wire together, then patina the silver (the gold stays gold). Of course, no filing gold-filled allowed. But milling is perfect. Using karat gold would be ideal. I do this with paste solder and get in and out fast (otherwise, the gold sinks in and disappears, even into the brass base metal inside gold-filledwire). No overheating! Paste solder is quite forgiving for this because the particles of solder in the flux are so small and don't flood the texture as much. And because there is adhesion along the entire length of the pieces, it doesn't need tons of solder to hold well. It's also fun to lay many twists together and solder them onto a (thinner) sheet and heat from below so the solder doesn't show as much - especially on mixed metals. A ring or piece can have a smooth inside. So much fun and variation is available in these twisted pieces. Love this video! Thank you, Chad. 🌺

Thanks Flying Chef. I’ve never worked with gold filled stuff. What happens when you hammer it?

I have always loved the patterns of the twisted wires. And, of course, have never actually tried to make one myself! Now I am inspired to try one myself. I'm not sure why I connect so much with your channel, I think it's the whole package, nice easy going voice and style and you make it seem like these projects are doable. I so much appreciate your sharing. I am really enjoying the Patreon membership as well, all the extra goodies have gotten me off the couch and at the bench again. I really needed the extra push at this point in my life.

Thank you so much Bees! That’s one of the nicest things someone has said to me in a while:). It makes me super happy that you and some others are getting inspired by these. I also really appreciate your patronage! Now go make something pretty!

Chad....Thank you for continuing to put out great material. I love that you give us everything from beginners to more advanced. I love learning new techniques and maybe a different way to do something. I have watched many of your videos and feel like I have learned so much. Could you think about doing a tension set stone? Thanks again and keep the great videos coming!! Happy spring!!

Thanks Karen. I will attempt one of those pretty soon. Happy spring to you too:)

The saw-tooth solder seam was a great tip. I make simple twist rings that I sell for $10 or 3/$25. Great impulse buys at the gallery checkout. These that you've made I'd have to think about the correct price point and how to display them. Thanks for getting my creative juices going this morning.
