Purple Passion Pendant: Setting a Stone to Optimize Light Exposure

This tutorial shows how to make a geometric prong setting for a shield shaped cabochon. The focus here is creating a setting to maximize the amount of light getting to the stone. I would categorize this project as intermediate. For materials, I used 12 gauge (2.01 mm), 14 gauge (1.6 mm), and 16 gauge (1.3 mm) sterling square wire, and 22 gauge (.66 mm) sterling sheet. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and My-T-Flux.
