He definitely understood the art of promos and in the early days of the UFC was the guy they interview the most cuz he could actually give an entertaining promo.

@Cat Daddy the best interview I ever heard with Ken Shamrock was an interview he did at his house for 2 hours with Stone Cold Steve Austin for his podcast. Ken opened up about his childhood about how in the back of his mind he realized that his mentor and adopted Foster father Bob Shamrock in a way tried to replace his wife that left him with Ken as a partner (although not sexually,) and a lot of other really deep stuff. I guess because he trusted Steve and they were hanging out at his house probably having a couple beers Ken Shamrock was just open and candid about absolutely everything in his life. Steve was even taken aback afterwards at how deep it had gotten.
