I'm a laugh my ass off if Tony lays down on his back as soon as the fight starts and tells Khabib to bring it 😂
@Jack_804 жыл бұрын
i think it's more likely he'll try to take khabib down right away. he might go on his back near the end of the first round to test it out but i don't think he'll risk that from the start.

Tony ain't throwing shit off his back. Period. The unique problem posed by Khabib, as rightly pointed out by Chael, is he pinning you against the cage. Against the cage? with your legs trapped? No sir! Let me stop you right there! Tony is gonna be in a world of trouble if he ends up in that position. Leave alone throwing anything. I think, as illogical as it seem and as hard as it may be, Tony has to keep the fight at the Centre of the octagon and preferably standing up. I don't see how he can do that? But that's the only way I see him winning.

On Conor's layoff and training -- I see him realizing if he ever gets another shot at Khabib, his ground game must improve drastically. BJJ, ground & pound, striking from the bottom etc will determine what Conor will become once we see him again, no matter the weight. Jorge will also test every part of his game as well. You notice we haven't heard a whole lot from Conor other than his fight with cowboy is on in Jan. In Tony's defense, remember he's no slouch on the fence either. His elbows and knees have put a world of hurt on many opponents from the fence. I think he'll keep Khabib circling in or near the center of the cage and do what he does best. I believe he will show up as heavy as possible, 165 to 170 and use that to his advantage. He can knock you out with either hand. Yes he's been rocked a few times but has a very good chin and quick recovery time. My money is going on Ferguson on a D'arce, TKO or doctor stoppage!! He won't leave this to the judges.

It won't matter for a guy like Ferguson. People forget how much of a good wrestler he was. He wrestled on a college level and his whole life. He's so tricky and unorthodox that I sometimes think the guy makes up moves on a drop of a dime out of necessity. The guy does back rolls and flips in the ring as part of his repertoire in the ring. People all understamed his stand up and apparently that was something stood out to guys who fought him. He's Not Great at any particular skills set but blances everything out excellently. His stand up has gotten good enough to where, no one talks about it being his weakness anymore, his defense and reflexes are still sharp and have only improved and his ring IQ has also gotten better.

If it doesn't work, then you use other weapons.. Khabib was so dominant he didn't even need to use anything else other then his wrestling against the fence.. Do you know why???!!!!!! NOBODY LIKES HAVING HIS FACE SMASHED YOU MORONS.. Khabib has never had a fucking bruise on his head, we haven't seen a drop of blood in his mouth, ever.. Khabib took McGregor down in the center of the ring in the 1st round and then mauled him against the cage .
@andrewgallup45904 жыл бұрын
he had a hard time though and conor didnt have that great of wrestling in that match. whether he does now or not i dont know but even against al iaquinta he had such a hard time taking him down in the center. hes really not that great of a wrestler in the open. hes a good fighter but his punching defense isnt good and i believe if he gets pressured the way he does others and you back him on the fence and use boxing or some thai boxing without clinching you beat khabib
@fuzzyroger4 жыл бұрын
If he didn't have good standup defense he would have been knocked out already . McGregor is a master counter puncher and didn't land many punches against Khabib. You are misinformed on both of your statements . McGregor has good takedown defense not great but good . You seem to be listening to the UFC commentary instead of researching for yourself .

@@107set if McGregor was washed up when he fought Khabib knowing it was a title fight . I hate to think how unmotivated and even more whashed up McGregor will be against Cowboy . Make no mistake McGregor was at his best against Khabib . McGregor knew his reputation and integrity were on the line and was thoroughly dismantled and frankly the fight should have been an embarrasment to McGregor and his whole team .

When it comes to Cowboy, I’ve nothing but a huge amount of respect for the way he conducts and carries himself, both inside of the sport and in his personal life. As a fighter, that applies 10 fold, as, when it comes to his entertaining fighting style, overall skill level, the relentlessness of how regularly he fights year in year out, disregarding his own health and interest, all the UFC records he holds (most wins/fights/bonuses) as well as his game approach and ‘company man’ mindset of fighting anyone, anywhere, anytime, irrespective of the (high)risk (low)reward or chosen weight class... I’ve the upmost admiration for the guy! So when I say I’m far more interested in the Tony/Khabib fight than Cowboys fight with Conor, (which I’m finding hard to get excited about since the matchup doesn’t really do anything for me at all to be honest) I mean it as no disrespect to Cowboy whatsoever, it’s more to do with Feeling tiresome and bored of Conor’s never ending antics and hot air. Hard to take anything he says seriously anymore or be hyped up for his return when he has failed to follow through his promises and statements with actions so many times that his words are now completely meaningless! I’ll say this though, i hope he does actually turn up to fight because Cowboy more than deserves the paycheque. As to predictions, all I can say is that it depends entirely on which Conor turns up to fight.... If we get the flat footed and sloppy version that fought Khabib then Cowboy will likely maul him. If the original, wide karate stance, light footed, agile and bouncing back and forth Conor shows up, able to fight equally well backwards as forwards, with the power, timing and precision that KO’d Aldo, then Cowboy is in for a tough night And although I think a Cowboy win would be more difficult and less likely in the later scenario than the former, is still not rule out his chances of victory! Rooting for Cowboy for sure, just as much as I’ll be for Tony!

I don't think I've seen Cerrone throw a real driving power double, but he is opportunistic with his takedown attempts, and thus highly successful with them. I also see his striking as being on par with Conor, though maybe a bit less left in the chin.

For anyone seeing this mark my words Tony is gonna finish Khabib and be the new champ and we will all witness history. Tony is the more well rounded fighter with more tools and better stamina/endurance. Tony already knows and expects khabibs gameplan. My prediction is that Khabib will probably win the first 2 round but will be cut from elbows and will struggle for the takedown in late rounds and he will be lit up like a Christmas tree 🎄 and will be in desperate mode to get a takedown. Even if khabib manages to get a takedown in late rounds, khabib will be sliced and tired whereas tony will still be throwing elbows and going for sub attempts etc.. Khabib will tire in this fight the only reason he didn’t in the mcgregor fight was because mcgregors fights are slow paste and he just sat there on the bottom and didn’t do work whereas tony will be doing work at all times, tony never lets u rest he keeps u working at all times. I predict a 4rth round tko or even a submission possibly for tony

I agree 100% with the GSP vs Hendricks fight. Gotta respect the scoring system of the sport. GSP won 3 rounds, same way Conor won 3 rounds in the Nate rematch or Whittaker won 3 rounds against Romero at 225.
