To me her presence didn't stand out. She has a nice voice and is definitely one of the most consistent on the team but she didn't stand out at all if we're looking at stage presence. I can't decide whether that's due to the fact people who were wearing purple were more prevalent in my eyes or she just really doesn't have presence. She might be better in terms of singing and consistency but what's the point of her debuting if she's barely catching my eye or to others in the performance? This is probably what a lot of other people are seeing which is why Yona isn't receiving the popularity she deserves. She needs to learn to stand out make herself appear on stage because her stage is very stagnant throughout the performance except when she sings. Like when there are the POP moments on stage, everyone else does impromptu expressions and actions but she just kind of follows the crowd. I think she'd gain so much more attention if she just gave into these smaller details.

@@shaco098 Man Vanesya has less lines than others. Super less lines. 50% of her lines are in english. Few words only in Korean. And one day is enough for her to memorize that. If she can sing, she won't take this rap part. The only reason she probably chose this part bcs it's super short than others and has a lot of eng in it. And they have 3 days to practice. Luckily she didn't choose the Yejin rap part that was in all Korean with tongue twister words and plus with the singing part too. Or imagine she takes Mila's/Jessica's/Yona's part, which has a lot more korean singing. It can turn out worse than this. We all know how her singing skills are. Whatever part she takes, be grateful for that's the best pick amongst other parts. It's only such a shame that she can't deliver. Poor my Yona and Mila in that group. I felt so bad and wanted to cry watching their faces when the judges announced the winner. What hurts more is thinking that they probably see it coming. They will lose.

Yona needs to develop her stage performance because to be honest, I didn't look at her once other than when her lines came up. She just seems stagnant throughout the entire song and she doesn't rely on impromptu expressions or actions to bring attention to herself like the others did. Singing and consistency is important, but she's not going to get anywhere if she can't make herself stand out on stage. And it is just true as the other person says, her voice doesn't make a distinct appearance like Jessica and Mila did, and that is what brings you stage attraction. Distinct voices MAKES UP the industry, you want to be able to distinguish someone's voice because what's it having a 7-member debut group but they all sound the same or somewhat similar? Why do you think BTS and Blackpink pretty much revolutionized K-pop? They all have distinct voices and whether you listen to their songs as a fan or not, you can make out when someone else is singing or someone's back to sing a line. I'm saying this as a non-avid k-pop fan who happened to watch the first 2 episodes to give you an insight from someone who honestly doesn't care about who gets into the debut or not.

The only mistake Yejin did was rapping the words and not go with the beat. The mistake Vanesya DID was not rapping the words, not even coherent, and is is not even stable. Yejin is WAY better than Vanesya - that's the fact and truth, blame the Indonesians that supported Vanesya EVEN WHEN KNOWING tht kid won't make it professionally overnight cause she needs at least 5 years or more on upgrading her skills before debut or maybe less if she is diligent.
