Amazing lesson! You are clearly on the fore-front in researching the swing mechanism. Many tour pro can excute the advanced swing like yours, but seldom - rarely - almost non-existent can anyone actually teach such an advanced swing easily. Your lessons are just amazing!

I've been recently using this technique after 25 years of golf and I'm dumbfounded how more instructors aren't teaching the principal this guy is using, it's been an amazing transformation in my own game without question. It's basically a cheat code on how not to: come over the top; stand up in your swing; release to early; flip the club, etc. etc. All the things that instructors say you shouldn't be doing (which is correct), but never actually explaining it in a way that makes sense to most golfers. Great work.

When you hear people talk about dropping the club into the slot.....this is basically it. The reason most folks never feel it is the need to release the club with the hands and not the body. The swing from the top happens so fast no cumulative effect occurs. This action here allows the body to release the club by leading and dragging the club through. Whatever you do .....never forget good footwork and leg drive. It all has to work together.
@MrBryanconner2 жыл бұрын
Spot on...there's essentially no chance of coming over the top with this swing. Just make sure to rotate the body to the left enough on the downswing to avoid pushes when people are fist trying this, since most of us probably have been flipping for so long without moving our hips.
@timothyslaughter4762 жыл бұрын
@@MrBryanconner if you flip incorrectly the release of the the club will feel much later with a proper body release swing. Thats a beautiful thing. If you've been trying to put the head of the club on the ball as a conscious swing thought golf will always be a mystery. Just swing the handle leading the clubhead all the way through to follow through. Hands always leading quickly. You can swing the handle very quickly. Its when you try to swing the clubhead quickly at the ball that all the problems occur. Over the top, flip, early extension all the junk.

This is more than amazing! I have NO Idea what he is saying, I apologize and I will translate it! BUT, when they say a picture is worth a 1000 words -- this is a perfect example! For those of you who have wondered how Ben Hogan got the shaft in position for his great leverage -- you are watching it! There MIGHT be parts of this that seem new, but ONCE you take the time to play and experiment with this -- you WILL see the HOGAN MOVE! What a WONDERFUL break down AND progression! Thank you Charlie!
This is impressive instruction also there is a controversial baseball USA coach that has similar views on success in hitting in baseball I always know the same for golf but only realized based on this video!

I first heard about this swing method from the overhand golf channel a few years ago.This technique is the only way I can shallow the club but I could figure out how to square the club at impact. The face was wide open. I think you start your downswing with this move but almost immediately after you have to start rolling your hands to square the club. I’m going to try this again and maybe I’ll figure it out this time.
@MrBryanconner2 жыл бұрын
To square the clubbed with this technique, I wouldn't roll the hands - you'll want to simply open your body more on the downswing aka turn to the left while holding off any flip of the hands. The more you open the further left the ball should start.
Search for Moe Norman Master Move on KZbin and you will see that he talks about this move, but in a slightly different manner. Considering Moe Norman was the best ball striker ever lived - this advice is to be taken seriously I think. I use to think his master move was just weird and not what happened in his swing, but after seeing this video it makes sense. Thank you Charlie.
Wow!! This is also the magic move baseball coaches teach!!

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge in such explanatory videos. I don't know if you have any videos talking about how the hands and wrists work throughout a swing. Could you please let me know if you have any explanation? it is difficult to understand how the hands and wrists are freed after impact. Thank you very much from Spain. best regards.

Thanks for your footage Sir Charlie. This new concept of swinging just blow up my mind. It also eliminates my tendency to swing over-the-top. But I have problem to catch the timing of rolling my wrist when impact coz I have to roll it just in a split second before impact and I feel very hard to hit the golf ball probably. Do you have any more hints? Thank you. Alan
@euinhowie23032 жыл бұрын
If you are doing it correctly, there is no roll to time, just keep rotating those hands clockwise and the club will square up on the ball by itself,
@MrBryanconner2 жыл бұрын
@@euinhowie2303 Also it may be worth rotating the hips more to the left than you're used to and that should curb any instinct to roll or flip the hands.

Thank you for sharing! I am a novice golfer in Taiwan and a big fan of the classic-style golf swing. Like Ban Hogan, Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, George Knudson, Lee Trevino, etc. A while ago, I discovered this same thing by watching the famous baseball player Shohei Ohtani 大谷翔平. This tremendous power technique resonates closely with old-school swing thoughts. It brought the upper body together with the lower body instead and separated them. I hope you have more content on this topic; that would be much appreciated.
