Such an immortal song now in a matching voice - really a creditable performance. Moreover, what I noticed was that even after several decades, the song remains an evergreen one on the lips of the present generation. That is something really noteworthy. Great songs will never disappear from this world. I had seen this film way back in 1967 as an eleven year boy and all the songs had instantly gone deep into my heart. The totality of the film is still very vibrant under my chest.

Good effort but Rafi will always be thmaster of Indian playback singer ....he had a magical voice....Rafi will always be remembered by his clasic songs. Singer who sing his always disappoint me....theycan't beat Rafi...and the orginality that he had. But haveing said that Sonu is a great follower of Rafi saab and not bad singer for modern singers.

Please please do not COMPARE Sonu with Rafi Saheb Sonu probably is the greatest fan alive of Rafi Saheb He is only sharing that feeling with us and we should be appreciative, not critical, like so many who made those positive comments We are all unique but Rafi Saheb's voice and style are..sorry,no words to describe.. Still, when Sonu sing the word 'Awaaz' my eyes get filled..silly me If Rafi Saheb never sang, I would have never got to listen to Sonu's 'Awaaz' this way. Salaam to both

I listened to it, yes sure he seems to be singing classical with another, but what stands out? Can you compare Rafi to Pt Jasraj, Ustad Rashid Khan, etc? Besides I would rather not judge an artist just by listening to light music and maybe 1 or 2 classical pieces. I have also mentioned that we are talking about copying here, and no one can be same, but when the likes of Sonu sing their own songs they can really exel, cause they are not trying to imitate.What do you play?

From what I understand Sonu has learnt ICM from Pandit Jasraj and it shows in the sublties of his singing. Respect aside, Sonu sings some of Rafi numbers much better, as far as "swar ke kaam" is concerned, cause he is trained in ICM the right way. Go back and listen to Rafi after listening to Sonu's version. Once again no disrespect here, Rafi was a nice person, BUT he was not trained in ICM. As for ICM go listen to Rashid Khan, far more skilled then Rafi ever was.
