Chain Saw Safety in the Tree

Thankful for what the ISA has done for the industry and myself. That said, top handles were made to accommodate one-handing. You might disagree with one-handing but it is untrue to say that top-handles are not made for that purpose, and thank God they are.

first cut I made with my new tophandle was one handed, to be fair I was leaning out reaching as far as I could to reach a limb, dont one hand now, do as I say not as I do

Have a CS-310 Echo 16". Need to cut down a 35' magnolia tree in my yard so it doesn't fall into the house during an hurricane. Got lucky with Ida in 2021 and now Francine yesterday. Both my neighbors had the same tree in their front yard and both were toppled in a storm.

I'm guessing this is for demies inherence claim stuff !? Who would be skilled/smart anuf to be in a tree but not tie down a over head limb and cut it down LOL.. Any 1 have any suggestions for a light lb's chainsaw for small limbs. 3/4 inch to 4 inch branches. I recently got a 24volt greenworks and its a lintel heavier than I was hoping for.

Comment missed, cut through angles should be away from body parts but also kick back angle (or saw paths) should be treated the same.

When I first started to climb I got into the habit of saying"rope" in my head when ever I grab my saw, or even the hand saw, To this day I do the same, Just by saying the word saw in my head I will look for the life line and or the lanyard,, works for me
