The cojones of this man, not only to commit that much time and filament to this print, which could fail so easily and undetectably, but to just be casually ripping the layers off like he didn't give a damn, and for it to turn out with so few defects, hats off to you sir.

I'm not so sure about that, too much cooling would probably make it brittle. Also layer time was definitely long enough that everything would cool down. So maybe it would be even possible to print without cooling? I'm wondering how long it took him to print this

Interesting. Do you think you could make better contoured mail by varying the dimensions of the rings? Having sections (which you could wire together) that could naturally fit to the shape of a specific person's head, neck & shoulders (with smaller, finer rings on the head & neck, and thicker over the shoulders) would be more comfortable, while staying practical. A similar design concept has been used in prototype Mars spacesuits (MIT BioSuit), with an internal filament mesh designed to make the suit follow the contours of the human body under pressure (& not turn them into a stiff-armed human starfish...).

There's something oddly satisfying about this... it's like an inversion of watching someone pop bubble wrap. 😄

This is satisfying to watch and listen to. I'm definitely not saying I like anything related to that weird thing where people nowadays does sounds with a close up mic and enjoy that. Because it actually makes me uncomfortable. But there are certain sounds that are satisfying. I guess mainly I'm more satisfied by something if it doesn't come across as the person full on doing something to please my ears. For instance this is this person pulling it off the printing thing. They are working hard and the sound sounds nice. But this person isn't like "oh hey guys let's see what this sounds like " just to please the listener. More so I guess I'm saying I don't like people who wisper in my ear and tell me stuff.

I understand not liking ASMR. Try searching for unintentional ASMR. There are a lot of videos of people just doing their work and explaining it with good sounds. Maybe you'd like that

You know you can like asmr and not like whispering, right? If you wanna listen to a rain storm or nature sounds it's still asmr. Tons of asmr videos include no speaking whatsoever
