Denji's motivation reaches me. He had simple dreams from the beginning. Having toast with jam for breakfast. Playing video games. Being hugged. Little things. Simple things. Sometimes, you don't need big accomplishments or deep lofty goals fulfilled to be happy. I'm someone who's never had much ambition. Fame? Riches? Thrills? No thanks. Give me a stable home, a consistent job, and internet access, and I'm good. So, I get it. I get how Denji can fight like that for such simple things. If I were in his shoes, they'd be things I'd want, too. I admire Denji for proving that simple regular dreams can be just as significant as epic ones.

The first episode for any show is the most important bc it decides whether you continue watching or not, this first episode was literally perfect it got the premise of the show down and introduced us to the main theme that plays when somebody's about to go off in every anime which is the part i like the most

@@6n100-ent dude, it is hand drawn... you can tell by the way the chainsaws spin, or rather, don't spin. If you have any doubt that hand drawn can be this intense, may I refer you to the original Naruto series, or if you want to go even older, Akira.

@@Adamant1993< this guy gets it, while there is a little cgi in there, most of the fights scenes used hand drawn animation especially on the chainsaws, haters just running their mouths at this point. There was even rotoscoping to make it look more even better. This is turning into a badass series nonetheless

@Mchannel2.0 I've read the entire manga, it's funny tho because near the end right before you think denji is about yo have a big character break through he goes back to saying he desires very superficial things. The only notable character change he goes through seen I the second part is his slight ptsd towards situations that are related to Makima. Just because I enjoy the manga doesn't mean I'm not going to point out the litteral facts in the manga that discredit fujimotos writing.

Denji's motive and genuine battle IQ always amazes me. In the beginning he wanted nothing more than to kill the zombie devil and it's zombified servants. In the eternity devil fight he wanted to kill Eternity so he could make out with Himeno, even if it meant pushing his hybrid body to it's limit by fighting in his Chainsaw form for 3 days straight (The chainsaw in his arms and head actually cause him excruciating amounts of pain, the only way he doesn't curl up into a ball while he's cutting through himself is because suffering is his baseline.) Denji fought Katana and other hybrids and devils usually for praise, fame, and good word of himself. He has no long term reasons for killing things like the Gun devil but he'd kill Lucifer himself if it meant getting some pussy.
