Perfect together??? Do you not remember 5x24 where Dan basically slut shamed her and basically said it was HER fault he cheated on Blair??? Lol Nate always loved Serena, never judged her, accepted her with all her faults, he would've never did to her what Dan did. It literally made no sense that derena was endgame after that s5 finale snd s6 as a whole! All s6 Serena praised Nate and Nate literally gave up everything to find Serena in 6x01.

let me rant. Serenate and chair should have been the endgames.(chair was tho) Nate and Serena didn’t have enough screen time for ppl to grow to like there relationship when they started to date Jenny wanted to take Nate away and William got into Serena’s head, it was a bad time. They always cared about each other and since the beginning of the show lily said Serena had a crush on Nate and Nate had a crush on her and that crush of his never really went away, he always like her and wanted her to be happy and she wouldn’t want to see Nate hurt to. I think the writers should have put them back together and let them have a loving supportive relationship they enjoy each other’s company and I think Nate was such a good character he at least deserved his dream girl, maybe we should have seen a part where Serena fights to get Nate back. The writers just didn’t think things through it’s like they forgot about what the characters are like.

I still remember the part when lily says that Serena "always had a little crush" on Nate. they really should have continued their relationship the way it is supposed to be. in season 3 there were just several moments of them together and that is not enough. they both cared about each other and Nate loved every side of Serena, not just her "changed" side.
