You are spot on with this review. I thought this game was fantastic. I love how they paired back the game on the rules front, but the decision space is still just as big. I really love the clear design of the board too. I know some will dismiss it as a themeless beige euro (which it kinda is) but it's not over-produced or over-engineered; just really satisfying to play.

Some reviewers had problems with the light colored dice. Did you find that to be any issue at all?

Yes. The pink and light grey were very difficult to differentiate.

Trismegistus first! I'm surprised as that game appears to have flown under the radar and while I still see Tzolkin and Teotihuacan mentioned a lot in discussion I don't see Trismegistus being brought up. Interesting. Your likes often coincide with mine so I'll have to look at it again.

Didn't you like Tawantinsuyu? It is such an awesome game. Love it, so many decisions.
