China includes almost all the landforms and climates of the world. Therefore, almost all the scenery in other countries in the world can be found in China. There are 31 provinces in China, and almost every provincial capital city is a super city with no less than 10 million people (that is, at least 31 cities in China have a population of over 10 million people). There are more than 400 prefecture-level cities with a population of no less than 1 million people.

How long on average does it take you to edit a video? The details of your edits are just insane. Also, I love the voiceover. What mic do you use for it? Finally, when is this series going to premier on BBC 2? 🙈 The large crowds sadden me. THOUSANDS per day?! The train sounds useful but it's a bit of an eye sore. It's a shame it doesn't look as natural as it could be there.
@OneShotAdventures5 жыл бұрын
I think this one took me the best part of a week, which is pretty good going for me. I've spent several weeks on some videos (on and off). I usually get the main edit done within a day, but I can't let things go and end up tinkering and moving tiny things for days 🙈 I use a really cheap microphone called the Samson Go - it's not the best, but it does the job with a bit of EQing in post! I like the way that you show your concern about the protection of natural beauty. Sometimes I can be very sensitive about some topics, but you are objective and this issue is true and urgent. I can see some good things are being done to protect them in many places, but other places are still being exploited. I think it also really depends on how the local government behaves. And it really is a trade-off between development and protection, at least in perceived an "efficient(?)" way, which is very sad. But luckily, we still have them, and things are being done, mess seems to be being cleaned up. E.g. Check out Jiuzhaigou, it was destroyed, and they saved it, and it is just as stunning as it was.

I've been to China a few times. Each time they discovered a stunning landscape, the authority would over-commercialise the attraction with eateries,souvenir shops etc and of course, entrance fees. Only very few landscape features in China are free to go. And when you get there, you have the local tourists that thronged the area. If you are looking for some peace to truly appreciate the beauty of the place, you've to walk a long long way in order to get away from the cacophony made by the over enthusiastic local crowds. If you can tolerate all the above, then China may be your cup of tea. It helps if you know some Mandarin Chinese, it makes getting around easier and faster, esp if you are not going to the major cities.

almost all the lakes in tibet especially in amdo “qinghai” (a tibetan province) are considered holy, so hearing the after effects of over tourism is really upsetting :/ but great video!!

Ah, they all wear red - is it Liverpool Red? I bet it is. Too many people for a postcard shot. I hate overtourism, actually I think it's the best to keep all humans away from natural wonders and sights. I know, I'm a tourist too and visit these place. But at least, I'm not leaving my trash around. The Lake looks beautiful!

I agree, the least people can do is take their trash home with them... (I'm talking about the Liverpool shirts)

Wow it looks just amazing but terrible to ruin a place from tourism pollution. It is a problem in several places.

"the only thing it mines now is tourist dollar" hahaha ! That crowd tho ! Jeez it's awesome you found a place without people. But wait so this lake is ankle deep all along ?? It's annoying to see places polluted or damaged because of massive tourists coming, keep your trash with you people and be respectful for god's sake !

WanderNiks yeah it's pretty much ankle deep in the area that you can walk to. I think deeper sections further along. I know, I just don't understand people who litter around amazing places - it doesn't make any sense
