Unfortunately Australia is not a role model for an egalitarian society. In fact no country is, the rich get richer and the working class work harder for less.

I agree however with each passing year those aspirations move away little by little. The entrepreneurial spirit and the innovative mind appear to be taking a back seat to resource extraction and ponzi housing investments. It does not bode well for the future.
