Chakrata is a Cantonment town and also a sub district/ Tehsil , in Dehradun district in the state of UTTARAKHAND, INDIA.

It lies between the Tons and Yamuna rivers. CHAKRATA was originally a Cantonment of the British Indian Army. To the west lies HIMACHAL PRADESH and to the east are Mussoorie and Tehri Garhwal.

CHAKRATA is loner’s delight as it is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city life . Is an ideal weekend getaway for the backpackers.
It is only 90 kms from DEHRADUN.

People of chakrata are full of life , I haven’t seen any buss service in 2 days .
They travel local private zeep taxi’s . I have mostly seen them singing loudly while travelling in those Taxis . I love the atmosphere, environment of chakrata.
Our experience was too good 😌 .

TIGER WATERFALL is beautiful place to visit in chakrata. Chakrata is totally Peace ☮️ full of nature.

We stayed in Munaals Nest CHAKRATA. Hospitality was too good and hygiene.
