I think "Erkete kai emenje mas me t'agrion to haber" means "he came and informed us of the tragic news" This song is referring to the fall of Constantinople.

​​@@Agamemnon1002I am from Turkey my friend. In Anatolian Rumca, agriyon is something like a metaphoro wich means " so good,very very good" . Terrific news = Dehset bir haber = Tağriyon haber all means Good news. But you can be right because i am not Christian and i do not know the context of this song.

@@zaboybagoi8636 If you are a Rumca speaker I cannot disagree with you because I am not. However, I have close friends who are of Pontos origin who speak this dialect, and they explained to me the lyrics. It is not unusual for the same words to have different meanings for say Turkish Rumca speakers, and Greek Rumca speakers. Also the context in which a word is used can give different meanings The last lyrics of this song says, Βαϊ εμάς, αϊλλοί εμάς που επεκατήβαμε αΐκον τρανόν κακόν άλλον πουθέν κ' είδαμε. This translates by my memory "Woe for us, calamity for us, that has befallen us an unjust and great bad, that we have never seen before." As I am sure you will agree, this does not sound like good news. Thank you for taking the time to reply, which is appreciated.
