Thanks for sharing. One caveat I would mention is to make sure your foreground and background colors are set to black and white. If they are anything else the clouds and fibers won't work correctly. I accidentally had mine on gray and white and couldn't figure out why the effect was appearing so subtly. This fixed it.

Agh. I was so stuck on this because I started off with a green chalkboard background. I couldn't figure out why my artwork was black surrounded by white. It eventually dawned on me that the three black adjustment layers must of course be green for a green board. Thank you!

Thank you, I've been trawling you tube for a blackboard and chalk effect in PS. So far yours is the best I've found by far. :) I followed along exactly and the text i "chalkified" using your method looks great and I really like how easy it is to swap out and change artwork/text and tweak the filters etc. A template was just what I was looking for. I'm really impressed with to depth and clarity of your content and your no nonsense concise approach. You have a new subscriber and I'm sure I'll learn a lot from your vids.

How do I import the downloaded pattern to PS? the dark wall pattern is in PNG format but we can only import patterns to Photoshop in PAT format.
@PrettyWebzMedia3 жыл бұрын
You can add it like any other png image by embedding it via the file menu or just click, hold, and drag it from your file window to the Photoshop canvas.

What part (time stamp) of the video is that? If filters are not working make sure you are in RGB and working in 8bit some filters won’t work otherwise

@PrettyWebzMedia3 жыл бұрын
To create a clipping mask press and hold alt/option. With your mouse hover between the layers you want to clip when you see the down arrow click.

how upload a png image in pattern mode ?
@PrettyWebzMedia3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure I understand, I had the PNG image in Libraries. I just click and drag it to the canvas.
@debbieotto20043 жыл бұрын
@@PrettyWebzMedia I can drag it to the canvas but then what?! I does not let me treat it like a pattern to change it to screen, 100, 300 etc. what am I missing
@PrettyWebzMedia3 жыл бұрын
Dragging the png to the canvas does not make it a pattern. In order to do that you have to save the as a pattern. Anything visible on your canvas will be turned into a pattern by going to Edit>>define pattern, name and save. Once you save it as a pattern you can work with it the way you want.

How to download the brush?
@PrettyWebzMedia4 жыл бұрын
The brush example is from Photoshop default brushes, you can load them from the brush panel click the three lines on the top right corner and choose "legacy brushes" to load them.

Alt delete to make a layer black unlike what she said (ctrl backspace) on pc for anyone else that went as crazy as me trying to figure that out
@PrettyWebzMedia3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clarifying this for those who didn’t understand. If you use alt+delete (pc) option+delete (Mac) it will fill with the foreground (top) color. Ctrl+delete (pc) command+delete (or backspace) will fill the canvas with the background (bottom) color.

If for some mad reason you are working on a file that exceeds 30000 pixels on one side, Clouds will be greyed out. Hopefully someone will find this comment handy!
