And yes it does help keep you hydrated which prevents a hangover, but you will still eventually reach the usual level of intoxication but just after a slightly longer period of time. And while drinking water while drunk will not sober you up, it will make the sobering up process more effective inside your body, by aiding the liver with drinking LOTS of water you help flush out alcohol without becoming dehydrated. Unfortunately this does not equal a quicker sobering up experience but by drinking a large amount of water you effectively remove your hangover. All you should feel the next morning is some tiredness and any pain from whatever mischief you most likely forgot you and/or other people got up to the previous night.

Can confirm this as a former wine enjoyer, I'd always pair a glas of wine with a glas of wata and it made the whole process more enjoyable during the sesh and the following day for sure.

@@bearbectar7173 I can confirm this from two days ago hahaha. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being comatose, I was about a 6.5. Nothing crazy but still a solid buzz and I shouldn't be behind a wheel (I didn't drive, don't worry). Got home, chugged water, stayed drunk for about 2.5 hours. Woke up yesterday morning with no headache or queasy feeling in my stomach, body just felt a bit tired and I was a bit thirsty.

US tipping culture is appalling. Tips are by definition a reward for good service, not a mandatory payment to subsidize ridiculously underpaid employee wages. Tips hurt the consumer, since they are having to pay twice for their order (once for the product, once for the service) and they hurt the employee who are relying on people's good will to make their wages sustainable. The only people that this does benefit are the restaurant owners, since they can use this to justify not paying their workers a proper salary.
