Many asks whether taught to any caste. Learning veda depends on individual's capacity, self interest belief and cleansed mind when approached to study. Think how u will be at home and how when u go to a marriage ceremony. A person who is stubborn not to eat NONVEG. Lastly a person's ability to read any Indian language other than Tamil then it is easy to learn vedas. If only Tamil he has to take special care. At early stage being a brahmin i struggled very much to learn vedas at d age of 75 . Now at 80 i am capable of chanting several portions of vadas (now u heard) by seeing text. If strong will power exists anyone can do wonders. No caste prohibits. Namaskaram.

Veda Mantras appeared before the Rishis and came from their mouth without conscious effort. They have hidden meanings which can be understood only by reaching that level consciousness which comes from Tapas. Literary meanings are for the common people.

There lots of argument going on about the Vedas learning and any restrictions on it. In the earlier days may be about 2000 years back there was no caste system. It was only varnashrama where any body can be a Brahmin if he attains certain level of Knowledge. Varnashrama was based on the occupations they were involved. Over the period of time it slowly started becoming restricted to certain families for the sake of expertise it grants if it is passed on from generation to generation and thus came to be a caste system. So the present day caste system is nothing to do with the varnashrama of the earlier days. Hence now also if one can bring to practice certain steps needed to learn vedas, I thing one can learn vedas with out any restrictions. The emphasis should not be on the birth. I have only expressed my view with the limited knowledge what I have gained in this area. Regards

Who told u this, Ma’am?? We had so many female Vedic scholars and please read what Yajurveda 26.2 says

today is "no problem for women to learn vedas some days it will be worse than this. believe me u people are just destroying the sanatana parampara . u are not greater than our previous generation they have kept some rules from the beginning. this womans are not rishis or rishi patnis . there is a lots of difference being vadika and loukiks. pls don't spoil our parampara it is a very simple logic why women shouldn't learn veads. vedas called as 'karike' which means ' able to chant' . and this 'karike' have quality , that is it can chant without our knowledge for example ur walking around and doing something u will unknowingly begin to chant gananantva it happening all the time and if a woman is in her period time of five days and she unknowingly start to chant. she is doing sin . coz strictly vedas should not be chant in that kind of situations. they are not rishis are rishi patnis to have control over there body .

Thanks for your long essay but kindly quote a reference from the Vedas which prohibits women from reciting Vedas - if you fail, fuck off from this forum
@Raguram...4 жыл бұрын
Men's ego gets a boost in taking undue advantage over women. Their pride of 'exclusiveness' in chanting Vedas is just getting shattered by seeing women chanting the same. Sanatana Dharma is flexible and it evolves according to the changes in the social consciousness. But these so called 'orthodox' people are just not ready to go along with the flow of change. They are the real 'enemies' of Sanatana Dharma! 🚫⏺️😶

Please read what Yajurveda 26.2 says. As per this mantra, Vedas are meant for all, irrespective of caste and gender. Vedas are for jenevu. Also as per original Vedic rules, women can very well study Vedas after due initiation. There is no bar on basis of gender.
