I never knew of Anam Cara till this video. I understand why this would cause friction regarding the spouse. Possibly envy that the husband has that connection with someone else and not her.

It’s too bad because people are conditioned to believe that one person is supposed to be everything for somebody. Which is an impossible ask. In her position, I think the envy part you mention is about the connection itself more than what the connection is about. And I think that a lot of people, especially in these times get more activated/riled up because they get blinded by the feeling without the context. She can be important without being everything. She probably doesn’t even want to be everything. People need people, and I think that this is just a classic example of wounds and insecurities driving the car versus being cleared so that they don’t run amok. I agree with Nico that they didn’t handle things very well, nobody did. But because of the wounds and insecurities taking precedent & nobody handling it the right way everyone lost. She might feel more settled for it, but I bet this loss took a toll on to their marriage and she doesn’t even know. This kind of thing adds up

It seems like the wife also needs to bring her envy to the altar and look at what she believes she is missing and ask for the connections that she would like to experience. I realize you are talking about the two in the soul connection, and someone needs to take the lead, but she is the one who seems to have the problem, which seems to be stunting everyone. I could be seeing this in a limited way, and I am open to that, but it seems like a prayer or petition could be that all souls and versions of the respective selves find what they need to satisfy desires as well as to grow along spiritual lines.

I think that what your second paragraph is is actually a pretty damn good petition all by itself ! Everyone is looking for home in the world. Some people look to feel at home, some people are still looking for home. But at the same time it’s still about home. And I think that when we talk about things like assessing missing, needs all roads lead there. I think that when you say everyone find what they need to satisfy their desires, and to help them on their paths is perfect. But it does take a bit of courage, because you have to know what you want and you have to also know that you may need to grow to have and keep what you need

Sometimes even when the change is wanted and the path seems clear, there are always things to wake up to, which will often ignite new things to face and grow into. Old paradigms can have a stronghold, so a lot of presence and yes courage to open to something new
