Remember the classic headline of any classic car ad; "Ran great when parked!" That's a nice old Dodge!

I had a 70 Coronet 500 I drove all through college in the early 80s even in Iowa winters. It was beautiful fast and fun. My neighbors definitely knew when I was going somewhere. Now I have a 66 383 727 Charger that I love.

So cool to see you guys make this vid, I have the same mopig, 440 model though same color and 318 auto. That body is where it's at! That car has not been sitting very long at all. Mine has been sitting for ...90 was the last time she saw the road.

I want this car bad 😭😭😭 Edit to add; I've watched this at work while on rest from driving double deck buses in the UK and the engine in this car is bigger than both the vehicles I drove today. In one case by 140ci

That's a very solid car. No rot on that one. The back window and dutchman area are perfect. That's an excellant car.

I had to subscribe after seeing that car, many great memories driving one. Nothing like going down the road looking over that hood:)

What a cool car. I rarely saw these in the day, much less now. You’ve got a lot more guts than I do to just hop in and get on the freeway.

I remember this car from the socal mopar scene when I lived out there. Really cool car. Good to see it coming back out.

Cool old car. Lot easier to get running than a newer car would be. Love the "self-tuning" theory!

Smoke is probably from the valve seals needed to lub them again from being dry out

JUST one more thing.. Great vid. This car had great “upgrades” for back then. Fender mounted turn signal indicators (which looked cool at night), and looked like A/C. Keep us posted!👍

That is a cool car! Never realized they had a middle tail light.
@jeremyfaulk4172 жыл бұрын
The middle was just a fake. It doesn't have a light in it unless he modified it himself.

Only the 500s and RTs. My 500 had every option except electric seats and windows and was scary fast. I like the 78 RTs the best. Pretty rare cars.

@tinkerne-round40792 жыл бұрын
A couple of wax on the float bowls may have freed the needle and float. That was most likely the cause of your leaking and flooding issues.

I’m unfamiliar with this 500. Is it in any way related to the other 500?
@danpals76782 жыл бұрын
500 was a model designation. Top Coronet model. All RTs were 500s. Coronet 440s models were a cheaper version and the 440 model number had nothing to do with the engine size since most Coronet 440s had a small block 318.
