Hey man you're killing it lately! I really enjoy these kind of videos, and I think that the production value is good. I prefer authentic reviews like this to pre-planned videos that try to shoehorn some concepts into a 15 minutes review session.

I like this format a lot. On recorded coaching sessions the screen is a bit blurry, voices not good quality and everything seems messy. I should be writing my bachelor thesis atm but here I am studying jungle and writing physical notes :D

Such a great video. Smooth game by you. Makes me sad though as a Bel'Veth player that you don't want me to take rift. 🙂 I get it though. Good point about syncing up with the team. I feel like that's something I really need to work on. Thanks!

herald is just so bad to solo this season, almost nobody understand that you need someone to tank the herald so you can do damage to him (you deal 50% damage to herald if it has hit you in the last 5 sec) and this thing alone makes herald in soloq worthless imo

Thanks for uploading this, amazing review. I am curious if you could help me understand couple of things: 1. At 3:30 when you invaded, what would've been the best play for Viego? Give up bot side and do his top side? Start doing gromp near the bot lane bush? I started playing Kha'Zix recently and I can see this potentially happening to me vs champs like Nidalee, Kindred, Graves or Bel so want to know what's the best thing to do in that case. 2. In general, are these the things you look for when deciding if a gank is good or not (when people talk about how high is a % of gank working out): Enemy HP, their summs, wards, does your laner have a setup, wave state, enemy jungle/mid roam. Is there anything else that can determine if a gank is good or not? 3. At 11:57 should Viego already start running away since he's not 6 and can't kill Ori? Should he have ran to his tower instead of running to his jungle like he did?
@JungleGapGG

Hey there! at 3:30 the best play for viego is to drop a ward in the river bush around 1:10, with that he has time to either start bluer with a leash and then skip gromp and do wolves, this way making the pathing for myself very inefficient as now im taking gromp with no camp close to me for lvl 3. The second option is to ward and start red and then raptors, once you see me running in depending if you can finish raptors is to actually run straight towards me and kill me once I start the blue. 2. Honestly you dont want to overwhelm yourself with too much information but im sure there are more factors you could consider, body language, a laner about to level up to 6 so they may all in/use their ult to be aggressive. 3. For sure I think he lives if he runs to tower 👍

I rarelly comment videos; but this one was beautiful; I would really appreciate more of this format; Also... do you have any mechanical insights? I can understand / follow your decision making process... but when it's my time to play, I struggle with basic stuff such as ... looking at the minimap; How can I improve my map awareness?

Just play more and focus on improving that aspect of your game

Step 1: make ur minimap bigger size from the settings. Step 2: watch the minimap when u play.
@Bighomer5
@Bighomer5 9 ай бұрын
Looking at the mini map isn't exactly a mechanic...there are some tricks like running a metronome or something in the background to force yourself to look at the map every x seconds. But since that'll drive you crazy, just note down beforehand which aspect of the game you want to improve and how, and then e.g. force yourself to look at the map after every camp that you clear. You can also just click on the map to go to your next camp and look at it at the same time, and press tab or f keys while you walk....jungle is really the simplest role in that regard. In lane you can do the same, e.g. after every wave or last hit or move back input.

As someone who suffers from ADHD and visual dyslexia, I find your hint to be the only one helpful; I really enjoy the organized and strategic lol that I watch from pro/high elo players... but my games are a bronze/silver coinflippy clown fiesta (and I know it's my fault; I simply do not collect the same amount of information as I play); @@Bighomer5

Hey Man, only recently discovered your channel. What are your opinions on learning jungle as an offrole? I’m a Master Tier ADC on EUW and I got an account to D4 fairly quickly by jungling. However, I still feel like my jungle understanding is lacking. Do you think it would be worth it to try and push the jungle account further to increase my overall game knowledge? I feel like it could help me break into the 300LP range cause I often struggle with jgl tracking after the 5th minute.

I think having jungle as offrole is a great way to increase game knowledge. Do what you enjoy, if you feel a bit tilted on your main, use your jg account as a way to take a break to prevent tilt queuing 👍

Around 15:20, wouldn't the "correct" play be: I see Viego on grubs so I should counter him on bot-side. Back to front would be invade, Dragon, my bot camps. You finished raptors, which is fine, but then went to Krugs, dragon then invade. Of course this worked out great and you even got a kill on Smolder, but why did you finish your bot-side camps while you knew he was topside? He extended his turn by ganking around 16:30 but if he had reset to his bot, you may not have been able to invade or possibly even take dragon. Just some thoughts I had. I'm hovering between E1 and D4 and main Bel'Veth

I am an inexperienced jungler (and lol player) so my question is if I don't know which is actually my strong side, is it worth it to still just pick one at random and stick to it so that I'm not spliting my efforts between all 3 lanes? And secondly since I'm iron rank where I belong do I stick to the plan of supporting just ons side even if I haven't made enough of an impact or if I did poorly and my "strong" side died a lot while my weak side turned out to do very well even without me helping much? Or would it be acceptable to adapt to it and switch how I clear my camps? (which loses efficiency since I need to wait for or skip a side) I know that the right play is just to know my win con and evry single match up but that's not a realistic goal for me just yet.

Ill first preface this with the fact that im just a plat player. But i dont exactly agree with your take on herald. It's such a powerful objective with so much potential gold gain. In the worst case scenario it can be a decent distraction to set up a teamfight or a drake, but if you use it for its intended purpose of sieging enemy towers it can generate so much free gold with little effort sometimes in this game herald just casually last hit tier 2 tower for that sweet 650 gold and that's not necessarily even the most optimal way of using this objective. The best part is that if you take herald you get to choose when and how to use it, on top of getting flat 200 gold (if u solo it, less if u share gold with team).
@Bighomer5
@Bighomer5 9 ай бұрын
It's not exactly free since it takes like a minute to take, which slows down your cspm and opens you up for counter jungling, and is a collosal waste of tempo if you actually get contested and have to back off. Then it's a lot of gold income only if you actually manage to crack a T2 tower, which often times you won't since you still need to find the right opportunity and you spent so much time taking the Herald that you'll want to catch up on cs and tempo. Personally I rarely find a good moment to take Herald and when I do take it it's either in games that are already won or if not then it's maybe 1 in 3 Heralds that actually open up the map and generate gold for me. Usually I only go for it when my top laner is winning and wants to take it, and I don't make plans around it, unlike Drake and Grubs.
@LEKIDOMAN
@LEKIDOMAN 9 ай бұрын
@@Bighomer5let me offer you a counter argument. If you don't take herald enemy team can. And at that point u'll have to pray none of ur laners int their lanes or herald gets dropped and that can insta bounce the game if done well. I don't always rush herald myself but unless im super far behind i'll always contest it to atleast deny the enemy taking it, lest my 4 botlane ganks get undone by a single one plus herald.
@Bighomer5
@Bighomer5 9 ай бұрын
@@LEKIDOMAN That's a goodpoint, but at that point when you're ahead I think you just want to get vision on it and fight them off if they start it, which is a favourable fight, rather than focus on the Herald and risk getting collapsed on by 4 enemies. So don't ignore Rift entirely, obviously, but prioritize top camps and vision to deny it completely. And if you don't take it by 19:50 then it's gone for both teams.

If you do have a volatile lane such as bot and you see them as a win con. You gank once or twice and they miss all of their abilities and don't attempt to follow up, would you have your game plan and move your win con?

Try shadowing the person on your team that plays best, especially after minute 14. People that int early usually keep inting later. Never gank a losing lane, unless it is really free.

Now show us a game where your top and bot dies 2 times before you finish your first rotation. And then they proceed to die 6 more times within 10 minutes.

yeah, and now do a live game commentary where your team doesnt know what to do and instantly reacting like this pyke. half of that stuff doesnt work in dia and below. also going over a VOD on a won game where you can say whatever you want and justify your actions is kinda hypocritical. yeah, you might be an ex pro and what not. but i could cherry pick from my games where i absolutely stomped 1v9, like everyone could. didint pyke carry all these plays where he was there at the right time and you couldnt profit of, youd just fall back into your jungle getting a complete different outcome. you didnt had one or even two inting lanes, dying 1v1. you did have competent players that rotated. maybe try to see it from a perspective von the other 90% of players and not masters and above...
