Yeah thanks for the video was nice to see how to take apart the front dash and couple other things I already have 212s in the back trunk in a kicker amp but I need to do something upfront and he suggestions to keep six or do I need to go to nine with those 212s and back just asking an audio gay I’m not really but I know it sounds like crap what sounds better now but I didn’t before thanks

Dominick Barnhart my car I basically impeccable. It’s as quiet as it’s always been. I take it to the dealership only for oil changes religiously every 6,000 miles. While on a stop light on idle it feels like it’s shut down, like it’s off, no shake, barely any noise from the outside or the engine. It still has 5mm and 4mm front and back brakes respectively. 120k miles on it. Tires wear perfectly even. No issues in the engine whatsoever. Running on the same original set of spark plugs. Transmission was serviced at 90k just as preventative but it’s strong and smooth at 120k. Repairs I’ve replaced one wheel sensor so far, Airbag and 2 other recalls have gotten done at dealership Thermostat spring valve (probably 40 bucks, did it myself) Couple tail light bulbs and side markers That’s all! I hope this info helps

Be glad you didn’t use the adapters for the dash speakers, dodge in their infinite wisdom wired the left & center dash speakers out of phase to get better stereo imaging... it’s a fail !! The only way to get all three dash speakers In phase (best sounding) is to use a multi meter or get the factory wiring diagram for wire colors ! Also the only speaker in chargers,challengers or 300’s that only reproduce bass is the factory amp/subwoofer... all other outputs from the factory amp deliver highs,mids & low signals .... so if you put the 6x9’s in your front doors you’ll be happy 😃!! I replaced all 9 of my factory Boston Acoustics speakers 🔊 with kickers 3x3.5’s in dash 4x6x9’s front doors & rear deck , added a kicker kxa800.1 to power the kicker l7r 10 dvc sub in my factory trunk subwoofer enclosure & the kicker compr 8 dvc in the rear deck ... what a difference 👍🏻

The 5 1/2 will not line up correctly without space for these kickers. I had a couple extra washers that I had made work.

My Challenger (2021) has front dash 8ohm speakers. Guess how hard it is to replace those..........

Yes the 6x9s would fit in the front door, I just didnt feel the need to replace those because the frequency they put out is more of bass then vocal and I already have a sub haha

I'm not to sure on that, but I dont see why not. There is a push pin holding the cover over it in the trunk super easy to take a look and see what's going on under. I would not recommend a 8 inch sub though Haha they have nice 10 inch boxes that mount in the back

Good luck! And also changing the front tweeters and the back will give best results if your wanting it louder, the doors focus more on bass.

@@nutzak218 Does your car come with a factory amp? I'm trying to go louder and can't figure out if my Challenger has a factory amp to tap into or if I need to purchase one. In the rear deck, I saw something in between the 2 speakers; any idea if that's an amplifier?

@@dudebyob to my understanding if you have the Harmon karmon system it is pre amped( factory amp). The rt plus is what I have and it did not have an amp. Sadly if you do have a system that is pre amped it makes it a bit more difficult to add subs, speackers.

Carter KOC I spliced into them . But I believe it's the Metra 71-050 for the front dash.

strangedays2010 6.5 in the back just had mine replaced with Focals. Do your self a favor and wait until you get an amp and have it installed with the new speakers. Swapping out the speakers won’t do much. Head unit doesn’t have the power to push the speakers
