Challenger Hellcat No Drill Front Plate Install Sto-n-Sho

We have a plate law in Washington but I love my front plates. My challenger came with front holders that I love because it holds the plate tilted downward which with my custom U of W purple plates and custom license of the name of one of my dogs who died it looks exceptional. The tilt downward of holder makes for a very aggressive look.

Just a heads up for those of us with Adaptive Cruise, this top mount version DOES WORK with adaptive cruise. This has been confirmed by Sto-N-Sho. The correct part number is sns1e.

Same for NJ, we have tons of petitions. The problem is the state cars have plate scanners that capture and ID plates as cars pass. It's a great system to find stolen cars, outstanding warrants, expired tags, etc. I don't see them giving up the ability to do this especially in a vary heavy traffic state like NJ.

I bought the same model for my HC and I love it. I don't need the front plate right now but every time I go back to Texas I put it on. I also used a smoked lens cover for the front plate as well.

Ordered mine yesterday from Amazon got it today. Works great looks great. You can mount the plate in the middle of the bumper or off to the side. Looks like the plate it floating. Pretty sweet. . I’ll tell you guys though. You’ll need that star shaped screwdriver head to get the screws off your car bumper. And a small socket wrench 🔧.

I had a Sto-n-Sho on my scat for 2 weeks. The metal plate that the rods slide into were soft soldered instead of welded. I hit a bump, the solder seperated from the bracket and the plate and rods fell off with me running over the plate assembly. I was fortunate to not cause damage to my tires or undercarriage. If they would switch to welding instead of solder, I'd consider re buying again, but not until then.

I know this video is a year old, but I just viewed it. Last week I purchased a Challenger ScatPac and am dealing with front license plate issues. My question is; Can this mounting system be installed so the plate hangs downward and doesn’t sit in front of the bumper? My bumper has a dodge decal that’s centered and I don’t want to block the look..... Thank you for reviewing this product and showing the installation.

Yes, BUT you will need to score the oppossite rod. When inserted there are grooves on the right rod that catch in the spring pin to lock the plate in place. If you flip the sto-n-sho upside down you will need to create the grooves in the other rod. Also note this model is for the hellcat front bumper. There may be different mounting options for the scat.

This makes is so easy for people to steal the license plate. Somebody stole mine a couple years ago. Now, the only way to steal my license plate would be to rip apart the front bumper or steal the car.

Just discovered these mounts recently when someone with another car demonstrated it out here in California. A little pricey, but it's terrific functionality and the bracket hides away really well. Great install video. Also, discovered that these are not universal fit LOL. Looks like they cover most makes and models though.

You dont have to worry about putting officers lives in danger, if they dont want to risk it for the high pay, they can quit. Not to mention Bergen county cops are jerks in general. I know where that picture is in the cliffs, which is part of the reason why I left the county. Mercer county cops are MUCH better. Had my scat for 2 months and so far no one has bugged me yet. Im sure a couple days at the shore will change that.

That's super slick! I'm in Ontario Canada, I have a big ugly ass front plate mount drilled right into my bumper. Its definitely cringe worthy. Over the winter, I'm taking the car in to my local collision shop and having them pull the bumper, fill the holes and repaint it...I hate it that much. This plate setup is perfect. The only thing that I know will drive me nuts is that fact that the plate will shake and bounce around with every bump you hit. I'm wondering if there's any way to stiffen up the connection or even add more bumper material to have the plate rest on the bumper for more support.

I don't have any issues with rattle, even at low speed on bumpy roads. I don't feel you need any reinforcement. As you may have seen from other videos I cannot stand stray rattles or vibrations and have gone as far as removing my entire interior out to fix them ;)

It was a pain in the butt, that method is more of a permanent solution. To remove you need to let the back end fall then remove the maintenance pan to pull it out.

Great review on the Sto N Sho. I have a 2020 Scat Wide on order (same front end as you) and was looking for a great solution to stay legal in CA but options for easy off. This is it! How are those simple black frames holding up to weather and wear? Was looking at something similar but in real carbon fiber. Additionally what bolts did you use?

Definitely a great product. I used the nylon bolts included with the Sto-n-sho and the frames are holding up well. (note: I don't drive the car in snow, ice)

The shaft is notched on one side only, so out of the box it's not possible. Even if you notch the other side, it does look a little weird with the bars now being visible from the top down.

The one in this video fits all standard and widebody challengers with the Hellcat front clip (i.e. no driving lights) the one I show on my Scat Pack is for the other front clip style with lights.

Especially on that level. When you took it off, the bracket was barely visible...if at all! I'm gonna jump on board n get this. I would say no, while it's not written into the law for NJ it is clear that the plate needs to be between 12" and 48" from the ground on the front of the vehicle. While you can assume the windshield is the front of the vehicle, friends have been ticketed for putting their plate in the windshield.

Based on your video, I bought the Diablo's and Bumper Plugs from Scalia. I have a 2019 Challenger RT and the Sto and Sho site on Amazon stated it would not fit. Can you confirm that? That sounds strange to me.

If you have the 2019 R/T with the fog lights the cent bumper mount will not fit. It only works on the hellcat front clip because it have screws on the lower grill. The under the bumper one should work and if you are unsure you can always call Big Mikes performance parts to ask them.
