As an OTP shen, build heartsteel for low elo. The matchups take longer to close so you could stack up and give someone a massive shield.

This Comment!!!! In low elo you should play tanks in different ways. Like for malphite is the AP oneshotting assassin build. For Shen is heartsteel stacking - demolish - splitpushing yorik style. The only difference with yorik is that you can use your R to help during teamfights while with yorik you splitpush more with the maiden

Its not about it, he is playing decent as him. I was hitting top 1 shen in europe for 2 years in s7/s8 and wanted hit top 1 on world, so made new account and lost 3 games in row in silver elo. Shen is not solo carry champ, for win u need decent teamates or atleast one that knows game and can carry with you. Coaching wont help, reaching higher elo will

Perfect Demonstration of the saying * Tanks are unplayable in soloq* . Alois won with massive snowballing, zero mistakes and playing shen a tank which can do some damage. If he was playing other tanks which dont have such dmg output i don't know if he would win. His team mates had poor performance for sure but in the end they barely did smth. Imagine if everyone of them had 0-4 with bad farm ( many of us have witnessed smth similar) . Excellent content brother ! Keep it up!

Yeah that's true if you're good. If you're not, playing a tank means that you can lose the lane but still can be useful so its like depends if you have the micro and the macro for carry or not

@@pm3609 it's not about being good or bad. Alois managed to win due to insane skill gap ( the enemies was plat) , and consider that it was not enough. His team did something minor that was necessary to win. So despite his insane performance he would not win. A bit or heavily you are dependent on the team performance. And last but not least if he was camped by mid and jungle he would not snowball so much.

with sundered sky instead of terminus you can probably win every 1v5 fight. The titanic + sunfire is also overkill, you already delete waves with titanic so you can opt for another item instead of sunfire (hearsteel in low elo, jack'sho is nice, spirit with sundered sky if you need more mr) imho

they will to a certain extent but with the shorter lane its harder to achieve. 3 wave crashes and whatnot still work but its harder to do. Freezing becomes much more key and knowing how and when to freeze. for example you almost never want to freeze against assassins cause then theyll just roam but it is really good into mages if u are ahead. Also keep in mind you dont want to be pushed up against a ganking jungler or support cause it leaves you far to vulnerable. There are a lot of guides on youtube that you can look at for more in depth explanations. Would recommend shok

This is why you should play Mundo. Tanks have two things they could do to make them relevant, CC or damage. A CC tank is like Zac, playing them with 13 kills is super hard to carry with since you're just CCing people and disrupting their team. But a damage tank like Mundo? 13 kills and you will become a raidboss and just wipe their team all day :D

Zac is also a raidboss if you build hin hybrid he can 1v9+ has cc. A real cc tank would be more a maokai, ornn... Amumu toplane😂

Maokai is super strong right now, if you watch Makkro you can see him carrying hard with Ornn killing people and Amumu has been building hybrid for multiple seasons with liandry's and now riftmaker since they brought haunting guise back

ornn to chall is way easier than shen to chall imo ornn is so much more self sufficient to the point where he does bruiser levels of damage when fed while tanking full team damage shen is reliant on teamfight pressure but ornn can handle multiple people alone

Don't play shen as a tank. Go bruiser his dmg is insane. In the early game, go for x2 adaptive + stacked grasp, 1 Q is enough to chunk 20% of any champs hp

I am really concerned for when he plays Mundo to masters. He is about the weakest early game champ, has many counters (all of his favourite champs) and his ult lvl 6 gets completely canceled out by ignite. He basically starts being a Champion at lvl 11. But we will see how he does.

tanks in soloq are coinflip. if you play well you are just a neutral element and game depends on your team. but if you play carry champ like yasuo you can solo carry games even with trash team. Thats why I stopped playing tanks and now only play 1v9 champs.
