Challenges I have faced while starting of my own CA practice

As per the response on my community post , I decided to make video on this particular topic .
Starting something new is always scary . It comes with mixed emotions of excitement, fear and satisfaction of having something of your own . When I started my practice, I honestly had no one to guide me , to show me the right path in this journey . All I had was “ self belief “ .
I hope my videos can help you choose your right path .

Even I started my carrier with Roc with 0 exposure and the first form which I got to file was voluntary liquidation form stk 2.. the coordination between mind and heart was disturbed but I accepted it and completed it tactfully 🎉 Lesson which I learnt was Challenging yourself will definitely be rewarding. Though I was grossly underpaid but it gave me life time confidence which is most precious asset in personal life balance sheet 😊

Most important question is how to acquire the clients? How to earn more income? What is the specific works that only and only do by CA? Because nowadays ITR can file easily by anyone.

ITR filling is not meant for CA, more of a compliance work can be done by client itself . But for consultancy, litigation, audit more knowledge is required and here what a CA plays a important role , for eg ITR can be filled by anybody but filling with proper tax planning , and correct filling can only be done by expert and by this various cases by the department can be avoided.

Bhai maine b practice ki thi but abhi aisa lag raha hai ki job is better than practice. As we have to connect with 100 of clients irrespective of the day whether its Saturday or Sunday….whether is 9 pm or 10 pm. Contrary in job at least you have weekends to enjoy without disturbance. Please advice on this. Need suggestions.

Esa nai hota har jagha alag experience hota hai job mai and jese jese responsibilities badti hai job mai Waha bhi weekends nai mil paate , Practice mai according to me if aap manage karo toh apne liye jab chao time Nikal sakte ho .. it’s all about how you manage things . If you talk about me after 8pm I don’t talk with clients . I generally inform them about this, and it’s upto us, being in practice doesn’t mean to kill our personal time .

This is upto you , partnership will bring you more opportunities but subject to trust do partnership with people whom you trust secondly make every financial aspect very clear from starting , otherwise within few years partnership get dissolved, and firstly see what will make you happy than choose.

Mene ek client ka kaam kiya aur wo ho gaya to bahot acha feel hua. Lekin muje ye Darr hai ki koi legal liability aa gayi to meri wajah se kisi client pe? Aur agar clients ke saath hi agar kuch jagda ho jaye ki wo bole ki tum to CA ho ye tumara kaam hai tumne nahi kiya. This gives me nightmares

Hello sir...I recently gave my ca final grp 2 attempt in may 23 (1st grp already cleared) and i m pretty sure that i will become CA in july when the results came... I m pretty confused in choosing my job profile as whether to do job in a company or in a CA firm in order to have some exposure regarding practicing... As i have my long term concern is to open my practice in the future... Please suggest where to proceed for initial phase of job.. In a good company or a good CA firm

If you wanna practice in long term so it won’t matter if you do job in company or Practicing firm. Subject to if you go with Short term job of of 1-2 years than you should do under Practicing firm only but if you wanna start your practice after 5-7 years than you can do job in Industry.

Hi Sir , i am qualified in Nov 20 & i am currently working in audit dept of one of the big 4 's and it's been around an year since I have joined . I feel that I am not fit for this job as I feel burden n disinterested in the work I was being assigned. Standing today I have the same feeling which I had in my early 3-4 mnths of my job . Hi Varsha, I understand your situation, if I would have been in your place I would have switched up my job to some good practicing firm . Because I get it that you just can’t leave your stable income entirely for opening up your own practice. Where-else doing a job at some practicing firm can give you freedom to build up your client base , working on your practice after office timing and will also help in earning stable income . After a while , when you get the confidence and have good personal client base you can switch entirely to your own practice.

If you have thought that you just want to do practice than start it don’t delay it slowly and gradually you will get clients, you have to be patient!!

Cost of office - depends on the space and locality with overall interior so this is subject to your budget , even if you have very less budget you can start off from your home , meet clients at cafe or you can even go for Co working spaces in starting . After 5 year of practice your earning depend on your previous work, network, meeting new entrepreneurs, business people on regular basis.

Office open kar sakte ho but as a consultant , you can not use CA , job mil jaati hai bhot saari firms and companies Rakhti hai and Abhi Accounting Technician Certificate milta hai jo exit karta CA final nai clear kar paata toh , Most probably next year se dropout will be called as Business Accounting Associates .

@@bhumikakumawat2646 It is dependent upon your requirement, If you want constant income from starting and your firm doesn’t put any restriction for your personal clients than you can . But if you want to setup a firm with your own credentials and you are ok if in starting your income is below breakeven , and you are confident enough to increase your client base .

You can be a tax consultant but you can not sign any audit reports , as for this you need to be a CA .you can not appear before tax authorities for appeal and proceedings for this also you should have some professional degree such as CA, Advocate, CS , CMA.

First think what kind of work you are interested in ?? Who told you that Working in the field of GST is not good ?? Whoever told you that GST doesn’t have scope is absolutely wrong !! GST does have lot of scope . Every stream have its own importance so you have to finalise which kind work you want to do . and if you are still very much confused than do articleship from mediocre firm so that you can get exposure of variety of work .
