Speaking as an INTJ, I think that most of us overcome these challenges. We are naturally open-minded and interested in "what works," so it's a natural strategy for us to observe ourselves and engage in the corrective behaviors shown at 0:52. I've found no use for therapy, though. I'll figure out things for myself, thank you. I express my views, which are often in direct opposition to those of my 'activist' friends, quite directly and openly, while strongly signalling, via friendliness and relaxed body language, that I still feel warmly towards them. If things get emotional, I explain that we are not arguing, just engaging in a thought experiment. And I think that INTJs welcome criticism as long as it's accurate and based in logic. I am quite resistant to what I call 'unhelpful observations,' especially when it is too late to take corrective action.

As an ISTJ I relate to all these points (just like I've been relating to most INTJ-relate videos), except the over-confidence one.

From personal experience as an INTJ and through looking at it factually, ISTJ's are very alike since they also share two cognitive functions with INTJ's, Te and Fi. Also every personality has a relationship with all 8 cognitive functions, not just the one in ones function stack. ISTJ's have Si as their dominant but I think INTJ's have Si as a tertiary function. Not officially ofc, but INTJ's can also be quite practical about things like ISTJ's. And ISTJ's are also able to abstract like INTJ's.

As an intj, I only agree haft of the video. I think some of them comes from unhealthy intj. Off topic rant on low eq intj😤: I do believe intj have high cognitive empathy but most people won't understand our good intensions since they are more focused on the future. we intj predict the cause and effect of our actions. we are Ni dominant after all.

On the fence if im intj or istj, still trying to figure it out but I can for sure see myself being over-confident in the domains that I thrive in (primarily at work) with a severe lack of empathy for those less efficient or involved in the task at hand. Do you find there is much else from your personal experience that would potentially separate you from an intj? All the videos differentiating the two dont really do a good job at vreating a fine line about the clear differences so i think it comes more down to the subjective experiences at that point

I'm very sedentary, I spend most of my time sitting at the computer or on the phone or reading, but the one thing I find very difficult is just _sitting._ I can only do that for about five minutes before I have to get up and do something, even if it's just getting on the computer and playing solitaire.

Interesting, I'm the same in that I take every call and virtual meeting while standing up. I often have to explain myself why I have the camera turned off in that I'm participating in the meeting while standing, and then I am surprised why not one else ever has the need of standing up LOL

“Express yourself in a clear and concise manner.” Really??? 🤨 Being constantly misunderstood because I don’t provide enough step-by-step detailed information “summarized” upfront AND REPEATED afterwards, then berated for it, OR told I’m over explaining which is borderline condescending, then berated for that hardly seems like I’m bearing the brunt of the miscommunication issues here. For reference, words such as ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘before’, and ‘don’t’ are confusing, unclear, ambiguous and mean. I’m serious. I can’t make this up. I wouldn’t. 🤦🏾‍♀️

If I improved myself with this guide and then someone said you are not a real INTJ because what I have read about them they are not like you
