CHAMBA KITNI DOOR !
Chamba town is located at an altitude of 3300 ft. on the banks of the river Ravi at the point of its confluence with its tributary, river Sai. The beautiful landscapes, the local culture, and traditions, and its magnificent surroundings are sure to leave you stunned.
From rivers to pristine lakes, from temples to palaces, and from the nature to wildlife, you have everything here. This episode of Chamba is an attempt to showcase Chamba beyond the tourist spots like Khajjiar and Dalhousie.
Gaddi Trails Eco Lodge
www.gadditrails.com/
Built in the mid 60’s the cottage is truly a work of outstanding Himalayan artistry. Built purely out of stone and wood with an old world charm. It has previously been occupied by the Forest department up till the 80’s. Post which the cottage regained it’s intended role as a base for an apple plantation. It has now been restored and is run as a home-stay by the family. The lodge is equipped with four well appointed rooms with all basic conveniences. Two spacious Living rooms and a functional kitchen, plenty of outdoor recreational areas. The lodge offers something that is all too quickly disappearing on the planet peace, stillness, and an opportunity to disconnect while simultaneously reconnecting with nature, another culture and themselves
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOMESTAY IS A 10 MINS EASY UPHILL WALK ON A KACHCHA RAASTA
Padri Jot
This is s a high mountain pass at a distance of about 40 km from the Lodge. Known for its breathtaking views and lush green meadows, it is located at a height of 10500 ft ASL. It lies on the Chamba-Bhaderwah route which till a few years back was infamous for the terrorists activities. Because this route got opened for the outsiders around 10 years back only, I was quite sure that it would be one of the prettiest roadtrips in Himachal

As a very passionate devotee to your works, I highly recommend that you consider adding English subtitles to your videos.Though I myself have grown up in a Hindi speaking community. Much to my displeasure others have not learnt Hindi, and in contrast to me, can't grasp the understanding of your work. Please add English subtitles for my English speaking acquaintances, so I can to have the pleasure of fraternising and speaking of such ideas that descend from your videos.Thank you for your time.

Your content is so lovely. Yes, sadly people here in India need to learn not to dirty the place just like that, we Indians are good in many things. I believe people not negligent but somehow they doing it in form of some sort of retaliation mindset. We really need understand the cause why it becomes so much difficult for us to not litter.

@13:40 What i noticed here in America is that people are so sincere (most of them) that even when no one is looking they cleanup after themselves. Also, what happens is that parents teach their kids to clean up after themselves(teachers teach them in schools) so it becomes a habbit from childhood. That habit of keeping surroundings clean becomes practice for everyone. This is what i see lacking in Indian kids. And when i go to India lot of people make fun of western culture that our kids are getting influenced by their culture. Well why are we not getting influnced by their skills and talent. (Apple, Google, Boeing, FB, MS and many other companies started by americans only no?)

Great content as always. As you rightly pointed it's WE who should be enlightened enough to know the consequences of spilling around, if this doesn't stop immediately, a day would come we will have no clean location left for such awesome experiences. We should also urgent government to set small fees at such places which will pay for a care taker who can actually monitor the miscreants. Further I would also urge to promote only use of biodegradable plates and cutlery As such eco sensitive area. In this video the host was using plastic plates while eating on picnic. No offences but I think if the locals push for such things the impact is transforming. I have seen such impact in my place, upper area of dharmshala and Palampur. Organisations like waste warriors and several other local educated service class has formed groups and they conduct this clean mountain drive monthly / quarterly. We have so much with us across the county let's keep it save for our future generations.
