Carlmont High School Chamber Music Night Concert, 2021
Brian Switzer, Director, Jordan Webster, Assistant Director
Public high school music programs rely on concert ticket sales and other fundraisers to help provide instruments, sheet music, software subscriptions, clinicians, etc. This has not been possible during distance learning. If you enjoy this selection from our Chamber Music Night Concert, we hope you will consider helping us with a contribution to our Music Boosters through the following link:

While distance learning has been tough on schools, the Carlmont Instrumental Music students have managed to remain focused on creating beautiful music TOGETHER, while maintaining an inspiring level of dedication, camaraderie, support, encouragement, and friendship.
With generous financial support from our Music Boosters, all 287 Instrumental Music students in all five ensembles have subscriptions to Soundtrap, a collaborative cloud-based digital audio workstation, and have learned to record, edit and mix their performances from home.
Nearly 100 Carlmont music students participate in Music Mentors, a long-running music tutoring program, providing free music lessons to feeder elementary students in Belmont and San Carlos, CA. The Music Mentor Program has successfully pivoted to a Zoom format with Carlmont students skillfully running Zoom meetings and lessons.
Carlmont Instrumental Music students also volunteer to perform regularly throughout the year at local senior centers. Carlmont music students have continued to provide video performances for broadcast at local senior centers.
Thank you for watching this video and taking the time to learn about the Carlmont Instrumental Music program. Please share this video with those who you think may enjoy it or otherwise become inspired. Again, we hope you will consider helping us with a contribution through the link below. Play on!
