Have you or anyone else taken the next step to hack and integrate with an ESP8266 to allow for Alexa control?

Is that white buzzer what makes the noise when closing the garage through the app? If I pull that off so it won’t beep anymore will the unit still work?

Yes, it is the white buzzer that makes this sound. You can remove it, although there is a risk of damaging the circuit board if you don't do it properly. Proper way to do it is to unsolder it, which can be difficult. Other components driving the buzzer might be easier to unsolder instead. Alternatively, you can put a bit of hot glue at the "output" of the buzzer which is most likely on one of its side. It should significantly reduce the noise level. I also wish there was an option in the app to close the door without making the noise. Amazon delivery personnel can do it when they close the door after a delivery so it is unfortunate we have less control on our own devices than a third party company using it.

R47 is directly to the left of the buzzer, this feeds the buzzer to the bottom left corner. Make 2 gentle razor cuts at the bottom of the resistor where it interfaces with the board. Lift up on the bottom of the resistor with the tip of your razor and it will flip up off of the board. No more sound. Much better.

Are there switch terminals? So we can go wired control instead of rf. Thanks!
