Here's an update on my chameleon for people just finding this video: Caspar was helped to the rainbow bridge on November 30th 2017 at the age of 3. He had skin cancer. It was eventually going to blind him and he had been through enough and I just couldn't bare to watch him get more and more unhappy. It's probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do as he's such a special friend to me and I really considered him a therapy animal. But he's at peace now, and he doesn't have to endure any more pokes and prods from the vets. I like to think he's in a very sunny warm place with an infinite amount of grubs and tasty bugs for him. As for those of you who have been inspired to get chams after watching this video, I'm happy for you and I hope you did your research and are taking the best care of your lizard that you possibly can. When I got Caspar I wasn't very well educated, and looking back I should've started out with a bearded dragon or a gecko as they are easier to care for. Despite Cas ending up being a very stressful and expensive guy to care for, I don't regret having him in my life at all, but I just wanna urge anyone considering buying a cham to be aware of the costs involved and the conditions needed to replicate their natural habitat. Different people will tell you different things about what's best for them, and a lot of it will end up being down to trial and error before you perfect their care. I highly recommend /r/chameleons on reddit; there are loads of trustworthy and experienced cham owners over there who can answer pretty much any questions you have. Didn't mean for this to be a huge long essay but I just thought I'd get this message out to people considering this is one of my more popular videos. Lots of love to everyone who's been supporting me through Casp's passing. It's still very hard for me but I'm slowly starting to feel better. RIP Caspar, the best boy in the world - Robin

my chameleon sniffs. its a sneeze to get rid of salt in their diet. she gets salt boogies if her crickets have too much salt. she hates me trying to knock them off :/ luckily they're dry and really easy to clean. now she's all good and only sniffs when one of my hairs gets into her nose or smth. very cute though.

I read your updated post on this handsome guy. While he was here he was so well loved and taken care of that and you were meant to have him for a reason. I too lost a pet this march to liver failure and I watched her go downhill in a matter of weeks and drove her twice to the Animal emergency and spent over 3k trying to save her. But it wasn’t fair to her to suffer or be in pain. Just like your chameleon. Losing a pet is never easy. They are our family, and our best friends. Remember too, they are never too far from us. My dog passed away two years ago and it still hurts badly, but on days I feel the worst I find her hair in random places and I know she’s visiting. I am certain you gave this guy a great life while he was here and he knew it. Love from the USA 💜👊🏻

I’m getting a chameleon tomorrow and another way of a bathe time is soaking the leaves once a week (still spraying daily) but the soaking will allow him to clean his eyes!!!! Everyone has different ways of taking care of their little guys as long as all needs are accommodated for! Casper was a happy mellow guy and was well love!!! I’ll share once I get to know mine! Thanks for the dehydration sign of sunken eyes! No one said that in other videos i had watched for the last 3 hours!!!! So again thanks for the needed info!
