Hi sir this is so informative, and do you have any video on how to care newly hatch baby chameleons for the first month. Thanks
@inspectorgadget346 Жыл бұрын
Just got my first hatch today Bill and FramChams. Thank you for this information. Being my first clutch, lots of nuisances. Btw do they get positioned horizontal or vertical? I see people do both. Is there one position to at works best
@ChameleonAcademy Жыл бұрын
Eggs are laid in a clump so they are laid at all different orientations. So, I don't see that it would make a difference. But I haven't experimented with this so would welcome information from anyone who has!

What does the marking with sharpie on the chameleon eggs mean???
@ChameleonAcademy2 жыл бұрын
That is marking the orientation of the egg so the top is always pointing up. At some point in its development we think it is important that the egg stays in the same orientation.

@@yahirt.2654 It is a lot of fun and a fulfilling experience if you are completely set-up for it and ready. But, I admit, it is a lot of work to get set-up for it!

I have a clutch of eggs about a month old. I have not seen any mold or caving and they are all quite white. But I do have many with pink spots or blotches on them. I have been searching for any information on what this pink could be without a whole lot of luck. I see in the 3rd container that Carolyn opens, some eggs have similar pink spots, so I am hoping this is a normal thing that happens? Does anyone have any information on what these spots are?

Do you weigh the tub with the vermiculite and the egg's to see how many grams it is...
@ChameleonAcademy2 жыл бұрын
When using vermiculite as an incubation media you can just pinch it between your fingers to gauge moisture level.
