Great timing, I’m looking at this generator as we speak. A couple more months on my bass pro credit card and I should be able to get it FREE, if the price drops for Black Friday. Good vid.

Thanks for watching! So far I really like it and think it will be great during an emergency because of its dual fuel capability and long runtime!

Also check on prime day. I picked up one for $ 386 model 200961

When my adapter comes I am going to plug it into my Bluetti 180 and feed part of the house. Thanks for sharing

@Outdoor_Prepper - very informative. I'm going to buy one of those adapters when I replace my large generator with a Champion 2500.

What do you do if it's raining. I have the same generator. Going 2500 watt to get a Ecoflow powe station and use the generator for backup backup. For a set up like this,i recommend a 4000 watt ecoflow power station. Lot more money but better in the long run

If there is rain I out a folding table over the generator to shield it from direct rain. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

New subscriber - great videos - instead of getting the predator 5000 would you think its ok to parallel the champion 2500 x 2 so you could shut one off when its not needed and that would also provide a backup if one fails? Thanks
@Outdoor_PrepperАй бұрын
Absolutely ! I love the champion and the benefit of 2 is that if you don’t need much power you can just use 1. It’s also good to have the other as a backup. Just keep in mind it won’t produce a ton of power but it’s more then enough for a fridge, lights, chargers, computer, tv, etc

Love those generators! In fact I have mine running right now charging batteries. Mines a bit harder to start now that it has a little more then 200 hours on it.

Buy a Honda you won’t have to have two generators
@offgridliving41283 ай бұрын
@@tomdehnert5867 you have no idea how Honda brain washed you are. Living off grid will show you a thing or two. Since living off grid I have worn out two Honda EU2000’s. The problem with Honda is soon as you start having problems repairing them cost as much as a new one. My last Honda got about 1500 hours on it before the oil pressure sensor gone bad,then it wouldn’t stay running. Not to mention the two carburetors that I had to replace a long with it just rattling it’s self a part. They are fine for weekend Warriors but not for hours and hours in the winter charging batteries.

@@offgridliving4128 let me no how many hours you get out of that champion

I've learned to always shut down the generator by the propane tank. Will be much easier to start next time. But for another 300 to $400 more get one with electric start

I want to do a very similar setup but I'm told I have to be careful of multi-wire branch circuits that can overload the neutral when using a 120v gen set with a 240v service panel. I am thinking since this gen is limited to such low wattage, even if the neutral carried back some of the current, it wouldn't go high enough to cause a fire risk? Any thoughts on that?
@Outdoor_PrepperАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! You still need to be careful but this generator doesn’t put out a ton of power like a 240v unit does
@classicjay77862 ай бұрын
Will this work if I have just an interlock kit I don’t have a transfer switch. I know I would have go turn off the 240 appliance breakers. I would like to be able to power my fridge, and lights tv etc
@Outdoor_Prepper2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! It shouid still work with just an interlock but be aware no 240 and you have to stay within its power limitations

How many watts does it generate with on Eco mode? I know it is advertised to run for 34-hours on 1/4-power: is Eco mode 1/4-power?
@Outdoor_Prepper3 ай бұрын
It really depends...in eco mode you're probably good at 1/4 load before you need to throttle up. If you pull more watts then it produces in eco mode, it just speeds up the engine to match demand so not really an issue.

Any reason to get inverter style over regular style?
@Outdoor_Prepper3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! An inverter produces cleaner power which is better for electronics - it’s like the power from the utility. It’s also quieter and more fuel efficient
