The best part of Luke's game is his composure under pressure, especially for his age. He controls his emotions exceptionally well, and doesn't automatically wilt when the pressure piles on. I look forward to watching him mature further, and elevate his game to peak performance.

That's the difference from last year. He was much better than Humphries at the beginning, but then he slumped. This year he was better from the beginning and he pulled through. It's scary when you think about how good the young man can be when he has experience in addition to his talent.

Really difficult to match nowadays. But if anyone, Littler is it. He has to get to 4-5 before 25 years of age. He will get his chances, no matter what. But he will face heavy competition as well. Soon, there will be new kids coming for him. The standard is higher today and in 5-10 years it will be even higher. But yeah, he will win a lot and he can set new records.

Copium, the commentator called Luke's double 10 a "cheat code" and it felt that way watching it. People got fed up of old man Taylor winning too much and due to being a class above the rest and this literal kid is only 17, meaning he could go on a way way longer winning streak than Taylor. I think he will end up chasing more people away at the top competitive level than attract in the long run, it's going to get boring real fast and unattainable to match for players who as a result will give up and do something more gratifying. A hypothetical player who could throw a 9 darter every single leg would completely destroy darts as a competitive sport and would need to get banned from the game after winning 1 major like the WC.

I've never known anyone to hit double 10 with the utter lethality that Luke Littler does. Two of the best I’ve ever seen at knowing when to hit the gas and step on the throat of their opponent to completely dismantle them. Luke executed it with perfection. Once 4 sets were done it was never in doubt. He never really wavered. Just went to work. The kid is a special one.

You watched a different game. Luke was phenomenal in his finishes. MVG missed to many crucial doubles in the first 4 sets. After that it was an equal game, but the gap was already made.

The pressure he put on MVG's legs of throw was crazy.. every time MVG had 70-110 on his throw Littler was sat on a two dart of even a double already.. hard to hit under that much pressure when the you are sets down... would have taken an MVG special performance just to stick with Littler tonight.. kids amazing

Van Gerwen started badly but showed why he is such a champion by getting 3 sets against Luke Littler, who at times was playing Playstation stuff and is a more than worthy world champion.
