What are some pros of the accountant in your opinion, is it worth the extra cost compared to other compressors like Keeley etc?

So I'd had the Keeley Comp+ for a while before getting the Accountant. The Accountant is similarly pretty simple in that key things like the threshold/attack/release are fixed, but they're dialed in nicely so that the three modes cover a good, useful range. The thing I really love that doesn't always come across in videos is that it adds a bit of grit/growl in the lows that I find really pleasing. Not for everyone as plenty of people prefer a totally transparent compressor, but it's a nice bit of character that works well for me. (The small footprint is of course a plus as well.)

would it i be possible, when you turn down the dry signal, delay time and feedback knob completely, to use it as a random vibrato? Would the latency be too noticeable?

Ehh not *really* tbh, the PT2399 delay doesn't get quite short enough generally, and by nature the Memory control that adds that modulation also increases the delay time. Definitely works if you wanted to add that random modulation to a loop or a reamped track, but it'll most likely have more of a delay than you'd want for live playing-it's just not really designed to do that in particular.
