The finish was superb on this helmet . Now for the bad bit the whistling at slow speeds was that bad it would have driven me mad if i had kept the helmet , it was nothing to do with the vents as i taped them up to see if it made any difference and it did not .It was the visor that was creating the wistling as i moved my head from the normal riding position it would dissapate slightly.I never installed the pinlok but the internal visor fogged up straight away I am gutted because i loved the graphics on the helmet but the noise was too much to live with even with good quality ear plugs fitted .I ordered a large as i am 59.5 and the helmet was ok but i suspect that after short time it would have become a bit too slack !!!( Shark only do 2 shell sizes). Now to try something else Scorpion exo1400 carbon or maybe an HJC RPHA 70.

I love the way you test the helmets on the road. This channel keeps getting better. what are venturi vents? Any special deal you can do this on this helmet?

Thanks for the feedback! Venturi vents come from a principle in physics where a vacuum is created once air starts hitting a constricted opening at high speed. So, if you're riding at a higher speed, and you have the chin vents open, then a vacuum should be created, pulling air into the helmet. Or, in the case of exhausts, it should pull air out of the helmet. Ventilation only 3 stars .... May you forgot that is a GT bikes helmet who shark create for GT bikes (as kawasaki SX, suzuki katana, GSX-F 1000...etc etc)........... , if is tested whit huge wind shield as the used in the test, of a trail bike GS, you re using a not right bike for the product your testing...... And is also not possible to know if air turbulences are taked off by the 2 helmet back spoilers...........once driving a GT bike......etc etc. .................please, more care in.....if not there is not the utility. Bye

We decided to test the Spartan GT out on this bike to keep our results comparable. By using the same bike, we can give the helmet a score that can better place it among other helmets currently on the market. Though the Spartan GT is designed for sport touring and the performance may vary from bike to bike, we're the first to measure and road test helmets to still give a good idea of how they may perform in real life. Additionally, we've since gone over the data again and raised the Spartan GT's ventilation to 4 stars, which does show an improvement over the previous Shark Spartan. What are your thoughts on the Shark Spartan GT (Carbon)?

@@Championhelmets, well, all trail helmets get benefits, who are normaly the worst in aerodinamic cause are created for stay behind a big wind screen.... But for most of the other helmets the price to buy it include all the aerodinamic works, may in wind tunnels.....with a wall in front.... All be good the same, even a jet helmet could be good for go in a highway, so the results of your test, in my modest opinion only include materials, confort and visibility; not the effectivity in use, not ventilation, not if create air whistle.....for the people who wacht this channels could be a bad surprise spend 500 for a helmet who whistle after 50mph but was impossible to know after your test... So look more if the test are make for don t brake the market telling the good and bad, at the place to be util for the subscribers may..... Bye
