Just to put this into perspective: C9 came in as NA's 3rd seed after the Regional Championship, losing to NRG and beating EG. They lose to EU's 2nd seed first round then... They take out OCE's 1st seed They take out NA's 1st seed They take out EU's 3rd seed They take out OCE's 2nd seed They take out EU's 2nd seed They take out EU's 1st seed They take out EU's 1st seed AGAIN The only teams that escaped in the world championship were EG, PSG, and G2. Take into consideration C9 beat EG twice and G2 once before the final bracket and PSG were the only team that made it to LAN that didn't get taken down by C9 at some point during the season. Still get goosebumps watching this. I’m so proud of these guys for winning it all on the world stage like their fans knew they could. The way that they won it was legendary and no one can say they didn’t earn it. Winning 5 series in a row in the lower bracket against teams like flip side and nrg, only to have to face the seemingly unstoppable force in the undefeated dignitas team, and they beat them in back to back best of sevens. That’s how you earn your right of passage! I know it’s been of few years but congrats again to this roster for etching their names in RL history, and on champions field!

Like they came in facing undefeated the best team in the world that had won the last 2 championships in a row, and they had to beat them twice. And not only did they accomplish that impossible feat, but they made it look easy. It truly is an insane story and one of the best RLCS seasons to date.

Capping it off with 2 wins in a row against Dignitas regardless of weather or not they were having an off makes for easily the best upset in RLCS history.

The SINGLE greatest run in RLCS history. They got knocked out first round and had to play the most games out of all the teams AND beat Dignitas, the best team in the world at the time, in not one but two series. Ever since season 6 there hasn't been a bracket reset won.

While yes this spring major run from moist was easily the best lower bracket run difficulty wise, considering how much Rocket League has changed from RLCS Season 6 and with how many stacked teams they went on to beat. Falcons, V1, KCorp, SSG, BDS. As well as the Winter Major beating NRG, EG, Furia, Faze, SSG, and taking a game from G2. But this one is the greatest because of the meaning behind this win. NA hadn't had world championship since Season 1 and to get knocked out of the Upper Bracket first round and have to fight their way through everyone and then go on to almost sweep the 2 time reigning world champions is incredible. granted not nearly as difficult but incredible. Either way they're both the greatest lower bracket run in their own way. I was so sad that Queso couldn't win the Winter Major but it was about time Chicago and Jknaps got crowned at a World Lan.

Watching this in 2020 really makes you appreciate the run they made back in S6. It really sucks seeing the current C9 team I know and love play so poorly especially after getting relegated last season. Idk if roster changes are the next best step but something has to change if they want to make LAN this year let alone not get relegated. I think if they can just play with that championship level confidence every game no matter if it's RLRS, RLCS, or at a LAN they can dominate anyone in the world. Much love from an optimistic fan.
