Wow. Super good armies I love the army of laketown(not owned myself). Very unique choice I don't believe I've ever seen it on the channel. I really love the paint scheme on the easterling. They're one of my favourite armies to use in battle and when used properly, they can pack a punch. Overall I'm rooting for the easterling and laketown(as you can see😂). Thank you sooo much for contributing fantastically to the MESBG community it really means a lot.

Thanks for the comment. You numbers are pretty good but there are some big weaknesses that your army has as well. The army is missing Heroic strike which means that any army with a big hero is going to be able to do a lot of damage to you and the kings on their own will be very vulnerable. To improve this list what I would do is go slightly lower on numbers to bring a kings champion. The Kings Champion is one of the best models in the game so he will be able to do a lot of work for the army. Here is an example list that is very similar to yours just changed around a bit 499 points | 27 models The Kingdom of Khazad-Dum Dwarf King: (75) 5x Dwarf Warrior: Shield (45) 1x Vault Warden Team (25) 5x Iron Guard (75) 1x Dwarf Warrior: Dwarf Bow (9) King's Champion Group: (140) 1x Vault Warden Team (25) 5x Iron Guard (75) 3x Dwarf Ranger: Dwarf Long Bow, Throwing Axes (30)

I love this! so excited for game 1. I can imagine a version of the conquest champions league where you briefly check in with the players as they prepare their armies for battle as well, for a few videos before the first tournament game. Get us even more invested in the outcome and get to highlight a bit more of the hobby, list-building, and community side. Maybe too hard to execute in practice, but thought I'd share the idea.

Random place to ask Sean a Rangers question, but here goes, lol. I run a very similar Dunedain spam list as you do but lately I've been on an allying in Baldo Tenpenny kick to get traps and his stone throw. Just wondering what your thoughts are on that as a competitive Rangers player.

I am really looking forward to this! There's a nice variety of lists with a lot of them being lists you wouldn't see at a lot of events so it's going to be very interesting to see how they will do at a competitive format. I do have 3 questions though: 1. How will you choose the scenarios? 2. Will you play with a time limit? 3. Since this is a knock out format: Which tie - breaker will you use?

Thanks for the comment, some of the lists are more unconventional but give the player a lot of control so I think it will come down to how well the guys can play them. The scenario is chosen based on the match up. It's a pretty open discussion about what scenario will be the most balanced while showing off the unique attributes of each army. There is no time limit. By filming the game we add a lot of time to capture the board so a time limit wouldn't be meaningful. The tie breaker is a tricky one. For a scenario that ends on quarter it would be whoever killed the most points and for a break 1/2 scenario the game would continue for another turn. Hopefully that doesn't come up!

A simple blue green orange red analysis: blue lists: army of lake town, it can buff its troops well and good numbers on paper no real threats so blue all down to play style, serpent horde good numbers good heroes plenty of synergy very high damage out put due to fight and rerolls, army of the dead good denfense decent fight and numbers. These lists have no weaknesses on paper so its all down to play. Green lists mordor, isengard, easterlings, rangers and last alliance. These lists all are strong but are going to be hard countered by at least 1 other list and have scenario weeknesses. So its pretty even feild though the skill level seems uneven and some lists have high ceilings, most notably laketown, and serpent horde, as an isengard main i am unsure as the ceiling is high but unsure about the player. However i will cheer for isengard.🎉🎉🎉

@CantusTropus Blue green orange red analysis, its a quick way to compare lists blue very good does not have any bad match ups and often has good match ups, green very few bad match ups but it can have bad match ups, yellow has equal number of good and bad matches, red basicly only bad matches. I cant remember where i read this. Any way the lists are all well made but me thinks the blue lists will win their games. You never have a completely blue slate as list building is the first phase of the game.

Apologies in advance for asking a question here but here goes: Jumping Over Prone Models. It is clear to me on what happens if you fail (result 1). However if you if you pass (results 2-6), do you get to continue moving or do you end your movement and are not even allowed to charge the model you just jumped over? Also do modifiers such as cave dweller and using might points still apply? Page 33 of rules: "You may attempt to jump over a Prone model by moving your model as close as you can to the Prone model, without making base contact, and then taking a Jump test (see page 28). If you pass (results 2-6), move your model over the Prone model (place it as close to the model as possible without making base contact) and proceed as if it had jumped an Obstacle. If you fail the roll, and the Prone model is a friendly model, then the jumping model just fails the Jump test. If you fail the roll, and the Prone model is an enemy, the jumping model must instead Charge the Prone enemy model, receiving any charging bonuses it would normally get."

It follows the rules for a regular jump test. So if you roll a 2-5 you move over the prone model and stop on the other side not in base contact with them. If you roll a 6 you move to the other side and then may continue your movement. Given that it is a jump test you may use might and cave dweller still applies.

The case we had was spider queen charged one Mirkwood elf on the flank called a heroic combat, hurled the model 6" over 12 tightly packed Mirkwood elves! The hurled model died along with 3 of the elves leaving 9 prone models in between the spider queen and Gandalf the grey on horse she then proceeded to charge into Gandalf, won the duel and one shot him rolling 6 wounds (had to use one might to modify a 3 into a 4 on one of the re-rolled dice due to venom) leaving her with one might left which she used the following turn to call a heroic defense when she got charged by tons of elves and Thrandruil all of whom only managed to get 2 wounds on her allowing her to survive and kill off 4 more elves before she finally lost her last wound.
