Harry Smith is still alive, he's 89 years old. If you're ever in Akron Ohio you can usually find him in the evenings at the Windsor Pub enjoying a beer. He's a hell of a guy.

Been to the Windsor many times. Didn't know that. NE Ohio rocks....lots of folks make fun of Ohio, but lots of famous, big names come from this area. The pro football hall of fame, rock and roll hall of fame and the inventors hall of fame are all within an hour or so of each other. 🤘

Love it when Dick Hoover said he had a 290 on TV from Eastland Bowl. Fred Wolf the announcer says, "Yes, I have heard of that establishment"...he should...he was part owner! The place is long gone...I bowled there in the late 80s in a league. It was a nice house and very clean.

I bowl on a league, and I think it would be so interesting to bowl on these conditions. Very interesting how these bowlers are playing deep practically all the time. Nowadays the bowlers play very close to the gutter and can destroy a rack of pins

Different game today... I just picked it up after a 40 year hibernation to recover from my heart attack... having a ball, but boy is it different

Thank you for these videos. It's easy to see why they called Harry Smith, "the tiger"- although he faltered in the last game. He made more money than Koufax in '62, didn't he? But why did his career seem to peter out in the mid sixties?

It's a rough indicator of how many marks the bowler is ahead or behind. Each mark is roughly worth 10 pins
