I remember these shows would be on late at night. I would wake up and sneak to watch this on the TV. Thank you for posting. A year before Biondilillo shot the 300 at the Firestone.

I met Bill Allen at Westgate Lanes in Brockton, Ma. back in the sixties at their regular tour stop. Very nice man, especially when dealing with a teenage fan. Thank you so much for posting all of these matches. Many of the bowlers are using the AMF Classic ball, with the three white dots on it . Very popular back then. I still have two of them. Thanks again.

I'd say Bill Allen's 600 series was about the best 600 series I've ever seen. Even Mr. Biondollilo commented on this. Very tough lane conditions. This was a good match with particularly good commentary from both bowlers, especially Bill Allen.

What a different game bowling was in those days. My, how technology has changed things!

Back in the day when a 200 game was a great score. Before oil "blocked" lanes carrying the ball to the pocket and equipment made to give any amateur a powerful curve and carry. Today competitive bowling is a joke.

well said, its all about technology and nothng else, if don carter was bowling today and was at his peak he'd smash the lot of them.

Bill Allen definitely threw one of the stronger full rollers of the day.
