I hope you play the playoff well and don't try to bottle it intentionally to stay in the Championship to keep it "realistic" but if you do unfortunately stay in the Championship next season you should for sure let go of your best players to keep thing realistic because there is no way the Championship top scorer would stay in the Championship. I think you should let go of your best player per line in your formation so Theo, Staunton, Patino, Wheatley/Burton to make things a bit harder for next season. Also, it makes a lot of sense for a Championship club that didn't get promoted and that is building a new stadium to let go of their best players to raise finances.

TBH it would be way more realistic if you went up this season, because if you stay in the championship, and your players keep on growing at this rate, which they will. Your players would grow to be around 85 rated which would mean that they’re ready to fight for a champions league spot by then, or maybe even a title. If you do stay in the championship, I really hope that you sell most of your best players to keep it realistic, such as Theo, Staunton and burton, because let’s be honest, they’re way too good for the championship.
