Its actually pretty straightforward: She is a nurse who has fallen for her patient. She did that rikshaw trip and imagined what his life must be like, and why he is admitted to the hospital. The whole thing was a dream sequence during that 2 hour break she took from her shift.

I don't think she's fallen for him. I believe she's developed some curiosity about him (as people do about other people, often strangers when they come close in contact with each other) and she's dwelling into thoughts about that on her way to work with the music playing. Theres clearly a class difference so perhaps she admires that and manifests that feeling in that particular sequence in her imagination where she see's her self in his wife's place. But we all do that (wishfully wanting to be in the other persons shoes) whenever we see some one else above us. I don't think she's romantically interested in him otherwise.

I believe the girl (nurse) gets into the rickshaw and puts on her headphones and plays a song and zones out. She's the caregiver of this male patient. I think she has spent enough time taking care of him to have developed a curiosity for him and the circumstances that may have led him to the hospital. When she spaces out on her way to work, she recreates a day in his life in her day-dream, synched with the music playing in the background as she falls deep into a rabbit-hole of her own thoughts about her idea of what must've happened and how he fell sick or injured. I think the way she interprets her dream is subjected by the information and hear-say she'd gathered from the doctors diagnosis, patient himself, his attendants; the wife and maybe friends whom had visited him at the hospital. Once she's in his world (in imagination), while quietly observing she at first admires the lavish life style and at one point even wishfully sees her self in the wife's position but the more she see's the darker it gets. (They implied alcohol and drug consumption at the party so i'm speculating that could possibly be the reason why he's in hospital, maybe due to overdose or liver dysfunction or maybe drunk driving etc). And when she's seen too much, it leaves a poor taste in her mouth. She runs away from there (leaving her shoe behind like a fairy tale) and snaps back to reality as she has reached her destination (the hospital), where he's just another patient and shes a nurse and his caregiver.

We can’t say originally sung by Attaullah Khelvi. Many many singers have sung it over the decades and perhaps centuries. My favorite version is by Surinder Kaur for its raw flavor and energy - done decades before Attaullah started singing I think.

The entire video is a dream seen by male character while in hospital this entire time. Everything in it the party, that chappal everything was what he saw in the dream. Nurse is caring character that's why she was shown in a v different and distinguishable cloths while rest of the people there were all in similar clothes i.e. partyware etc. As Nurses's role in his life is temporary so she left suddenly in the dream while the other girl who was there waiting for the nurse left him alone as soon as Nurse arrives. What does it tell us? That she don't care for him like that nurse... and this triggered the entire dream!

I believe the dream is by the Nurse. The nurse obviously likes the patient and when she puts on the earphones, she started daydreaming and fantasising about him. Also as she knows he is from an affluent class, so in her fantasy she sees him doing all those things, drinking, pool parties and taking drugs (the point where she drops the goblet) and hence her disappointment in the last seen, that they are from different worlds.

I interpreted the video as a dream. When the video starts, she gets in the rickshaw and plugs in her earphones, she kinda zones out and gets a little sleepy. And then in a dream, she is taken to a party where she is the Cinderella of the story and leaves a chappal and all. But actually the rickshaw is not taking her to a party, it's actually an hospital that she is going to. Judging from the rickshaw, can tell that she's a middle-class girl, who has dreams and stuff about such fairy-tale romance but in reality she has to work and stuff cuz nothing like that's going to happen Just how I interpreted it :)

This patient is on her beat, and she has a private fascination for him because he's so different from anything she can ever be. That's why she says, "Kabhi kabhi bechaini ho jati hai." No matter how far apart their worlds are, in this moment where he is sick and she is his care giver, those worlds have collided.

I was introduced to this song by an Indian version of it sung by Akhil Sachdeva, back in 2019. I believe it was a Tseries Mixtape episode. He was accompanied by Kaur B. They both made me fall in love with this track💯 I remember that I regularly heard their version for atleast a month. This was my first time hearing the original version🖖🏻❤

Salam Abhi, originally it's a saraiky folk song, i heard it in my grandpa's village about 47 years back when i was just 4 or 5 years old, n i hav just a bhooli bisri yaad of it. You hav in ur country India, a group of families migrated from Dera Ismail Khan (D.I.Khan), KPK, Pakistan, who speaks saraiki ( in Dera ismail khan, saraiki language is called Dera waali). Those families speak Dera Waali, which is the true language of this song. Those families in India hav released a CD of songs in this language, aswell. They hv also an organization by the name of Dera waals (people from D.I.Khan)

Guys guys , lemme put my theory. I think it was all real and not a dream, her going to party that is.The end part can be for the purpose of showing past or connection of two characters, of how they met. She falls in love with the patient (maybe). She's poor so she doesn't feel like she belongs there ( Cinderella touch) and also the male character doesn't recognize her so she doesn't approach him.
